Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I think he meant hair transplants.

I suspect he did, but the fact remains that he just said "transplants", and defined them as "Gold-Plated Cadillac" health care. Even assuming it was a straight-up slip-up, it really wasn't a good one for him.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Also, let's be clear - the kind of "cosmetic surgery" covered by insurance companies is things like skin grafts for burn victims and Roger Ebert's shiny new lower jaw after cancer ate his old one. Nobody's insurance is paying for a tummy tuck.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I've only been following the wacky travails of the Dow since it started dropping like a rock. Back in the good ol' days, what was the typical % change in the Dow for the day?

(Currently (with the 20 min delay) it's down 245, or 2.86%.)

not your mom's socks.

How the HELL has "extreme pro-abortion position" come down to "health of the mother" ? WHAT?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Back in the good ol' days, what was the typical % change in the Dow for the day?

Here's a graph of the Dow's volatility through 2007: [link]

I look more rad than Lutheranism

How the HELL has "extreme pro-abortion position" come down to "health of the mother" ? WHAT?

How DARE those bitchez demand that their own lives be spared???

The Roe v Wade part of the debate reminded me about how utterly, utterly FUCKED we are if McCain wins, because it is true that the next president will probably appoint 2 Supreme Court justices. LIFETIME APPOINTMENTS.

You can undo the policy of previous administrations (as demonstrated by our current horror in the White House), but Supreme Court justices are cemented in place.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thanks, Gud--it was politically correct I was wondering about. Seemed rife with opportunities to go way wrong. But I'm also very curious about how straight shooters distinguish themselves, and how they interweave the narrative with the gameplay. And the preview I saw looked way too complex.

As for setting up my TV, I'm already maxed out on connections. I guess the second TiVo/straight cable connection would be what went, and I'd downgrade the cabling for the DVD-only player.

This is one of those photos that looks a lot stranger than video of the event would be, but it's still bizarre. [link]

Looks like McCain has gone all senile and is trying to gram Obama's butt....
