“Not dead yet!”

Did y'all see where his own brother blasted the campaign for utterly screwing things up?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I don't get why these people see such a distinction between McCain and the campaign - or, rather, why they think that doesn't look just as bad:

"He's running a crappy campaign and screwing it all up!"

"They're running a crappy campaign and screwing it all up and he's powerless to stop them!"

Oh yes, much more presidential.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

And, y'know, I don't have any problem with the decent reasons. Not enough experience? Okay! That's a reason! I can respect it! But I just get so mad when the reasons are madeup stupid shit. Oh, and repeating the GOP party line on "community organizers". You're welcome to not consider it relevant experience, if you like, but the crap about "they don't REALLY do anything" is... ARRRRRGH!

It wouldn't bug me so much except that I generally respect these kids' intellegence. Don't know why they turned off their crap filter today.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

In non-election news, this lol is cracking me up today: [link]

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Okay - guffawed out loud in my office. Thanks, amy. I needed that.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

OTOH, I am hoping that Obama doesn't sit back on his poll numbers. I want him to be really, really good.

I think he knows that he can't let up at this point. He might be out in front by most measures (fivethirtyeight.com, I'm looking at you), but there's still 3 weeks to go, and I think this campaign has shown that a HUGE amount of shenanigans can occur in that time.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, speaking of the election... When I did my tiny amount of calling for Obama, I got one old lady who was like, "Why are they talking about abortion all the time, when we're in the middle of an unjust war?!?!?" I had no idea anyone was currently talking about abortion, but maybe Pennsylvania politics is that different?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Last week, Palin was talking about abortion a lot. Was this before then?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Madonna and Guy Ritchie are getting divorced. Whoops.

There's no reason McCain can't win this thing. It is pretty easy to imagine he can get FL, OH, NC, VA, IN, WV, and MO. At that point, he'd need MN, or WI, or both CO and NV to go for him and he'd win it.
