Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Kitten.

OK, I think I'm packed, and am now afraid I've overpacked. I do have underwear! And my toothbrush! I think those are the only things I've really ever forgotten.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

In case I don't get to say it later, Jssse, have an awesome trip!

Punishingly Intricate

Have a great time, Jesse! Did you pack socks for the plane (if your feet get cold like mine)?

I probably should pack socks for the plane, but I am going to be wearing sandals. I'm only bringing my work shoes and the sandals.

I will be around here tomorrow, but I'm leaving the house at 6:30 in the morning for a work thing, and leaving for the airport from the office.

Hey, there's always a Target....

True fact! And there will probably be some shopping in the trip, so maybe I should take out one shirt. Hmm.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

In complete non-sequitur news, I'm so glad my psycho racist crazy-cat-lady neighbor is moving out! Every time one of her six cats stays out past suppertime, she comes over to tell us that the Mexicans next door to her like to steal and torture cats, because that's the way those people are. OMFG. And then we see the cat, like, five minutes later. Going away from her house. (It's always the same cat, too -- he's sweet, but he likes to wander. Which makes me wonder if she's ever heard of, you know, doors?)

I'm watching a piece that is chronicling, among other things, the Columbia disaster. It has a tape of the crew on re-entry, as well as the split up of the shuttle. I hadn't seen the first. Gah. It's really bringing that Feb morning all back. I'll probably have another nightmare about our mission tonight.

Yeah, and I'm not sure if it helps or hurts that she's as insane as she is racist -- the day we moved in, she came over to tell us that the cat was calling to her psychically from inside our house and could she come in to check it out. And then she started in on the Mexicans next door to her.

(um, no.)

(also, keep the frakkin' cat indoors.)

(also, buh-bye.)

On a lighter side, and Australian woman posts a brilliant Youtube response to a bit of racist hatemail.

She starts out slow, by posting the piece of hatemail with grammar and spelling errors corrected in red pen, but keep watching cause she works her way up, moving into genius territory towards the end.
