If anyone missed it last night, check out Rachel Maddow's smackdown of David Frum when he tries to attack her show. He had no idea of what he was getting himself into!

Mild levels elevated indicating he's reacting to something, but not enough to explain the symptoms, and none of the usual suspects. Being sent home with appetite stims and anti-nausea meds (and something else, I forget.)

Gee, this seems really familiar... Oh yeah, THAT'S BECAUSE IT'S HAPPENED BEFORE. However, I do think it was good to take him in now because the last time, he had to be hospitalized because it went on longer and he got really sick.

I swear. It's so random and that 2 of my cats have, at totally different times, had similar weirdness, just freaks me out. Is it something in the apartment? The vet probably wonders if I have some sort of munchausens going on.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Depending on what the codec/resolution was of the video he uploaded (and how long it was), YouTube can take a good long while to process before it'll show up on the site.

After stressing and fretting over a report that was due today, I have been told that the person won't be ready for the report until the end of the month. Head explodes!

“Not dead yet!”

Christopher Buckley resigned from the National Review.

Reader backlash over Christopher Buckley's blogged endorsement of Obama ended up convincing the political novelist to leave the magazine that his father, William F. Buckley, founded.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Christopher Buckley resigned from the National Review.

Wow. Seriously. Wow.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

That was awesome! You can tell by his reaction that he just wasn't expecting his accusation against Rachel's show to be so vigorously challenged. Maybe if more hosts acted like Rachel the political discourse in this country would be better.

Plus the clip makes me want to gay-marry Rachel Maddow even more.

Some developers have been renovating the old Carson Pirie Scott building in the Loop, and they've discovered Louis Sullivan-designed facades on two post-Fire buildings on Wabash. There's some interesting photos, including a closeup of beautiful detail in photo #6.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thanks for the table link, Hec. That's gorgeous.

My car is in the shop, and so far Geico has made it so I don't have to think much. Downside is I'm driving a Toyota Yaris, upside is it's not out of my pocket.

I'm just going to sulk and apply for jobs and watch lots of TV.
