Punishingly Intricate

This is totally minor but still pretty impressive:

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

And now for something completely different: Death Panda

They just don't write spine tinglers about killer pandas like they used to. Check out Heroic Comics #35, Facing Death in a Panda's Mouth, in its entirety below the fold.

Pandas really don't have such huge, pointy canines, do they? Unless the rare giant killer death panda does....

The comic is pretty awesome, for all values of 'awesome' = 'terrible'....

I had xtra sharp cheddar and a honeycrisp apple for lunch (and a few crackers). I know I'll be hungry soon but, dag, it was delicious!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

If I were a piece of bamboo, I'd be pretty damned scared of 'em: [link] (they are carnivores, after all, even if they're freaky vegetarian carnivores.)

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

If I can make it out of here for 15 minutes I might have to run out to the farmer's market and see what I can scare up in the way of apples and good cheese.

William Gibson bags and coats

Cyberpunk science fiction pioneer William Gibson has lent his name to some very cool bags and jackets (and sneakers). The products are a joint effort of two Japanese firms, bag company Porter, and Buzz Rickson, remakers of vintage military clothing. The William Gibson Collection from Buzz Rickson includes a black M-65 field jacket, N-3 flying jacket, and N-1 deck jacket. Buzz Rickson jackets (scroll down for Gibson Collection items), Porter bag info (Cool Hunting)

UPDATE: In the comments, Doctor Popular points out that Self Edge in San Francisco has the bags and sneakers for sale and are hosting a party with Gibson in person on 11/9.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So. I know it's only 2pm on Tuesday, but I'm leaving early tomorrow to go on vacation, and I just SO OVER doing anything right now! I wish I had more meeting to fill my time, because right now all I want to do is stare at the wall and count down the hours.

a honeycrisp apple

Li'l Sphere calls those "candy apples" because they taste so damn good. He's actually turned down candy for one.
