Mal: Yeah, well, just be careful. We cheated Badger out of good money to buy that frippery, and you're supposed to make me look respectable. Kaylee: Yes, sir, Captain Tightpants.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Being broken into is different than having an accident.

I'll be out $250 at most. About $250 more than I want to spend. Three ER visits.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

AFL-CIO Mailer Touts Obama On Guns, Jobs

Huh. It's a picture of this big, tough-looking guy, with a caption that says, "I want to protect two things: MY JOB AND MY GUN. That's why I'm supporting Barack Obama."

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

We have tv commercials here in Colorado "I'm a member of the NRA and I support Barack Obama. McCain wants to send jobs overseas, so he sucks". Or something like that.

Marauding elephants go high-tech: Kenyan Elephants Text Rangers Before Raiding Villages

OL PEJETA, Kenya — The text message from the elephant flashed across Richard Lesowapir's screen: Kimani was heading for neighboring farms.

The huge bull elephant had a long history of raiding villagers' crops during the harvest, sometimes wiping out six months of income at a time. But this time a mobile phone card inserted in his collar sent rangers a text message. Lesowapir, an armed guard and a driver arrived in a jeep bristling with spotlights to frighten Kimani back into the Ol Pejeta conservancy.

This is fuckin' weird - Florida is apparently now strongly for Obama: [link]

I read somewhere that if McCain loses Florida, he has no chance of winning. Is this correct?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

if McCain loses Florida, he has no chance of winning.

He has to win either Florida or Ohio. Five Thirty Eight says that the probability of McCain winning the election without Florida and Ohio is 0.00%, and it has Florida listed as the #1 "tipping point state", but I'm not quite sure exactly what that measures.

It will be really hard for McCain to win if he loses any of Florida, Ohio, Virgina, North Carolina, or Missouri.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I am happy to report that the house in our neighborhood with the most Obama signs belongs to Walter Koenig. Go, Chekov!

it has Florida listed as the #1 "tipping point state"

It's a measure of the most likely state the election will come down to if the election comes down to a single state.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I got a "Reuben" pannino for lunch, but it has cole slaw instead of sauerkraut. NOT ON.
