Jayne: What're you gonna tell the others? Mal: About what? Jayne: About why I'm dead. Mal: Hadn't thought about it. Jayne: Make something up. Don't tell 'em what I did.

Coding and Sleeping

We don't have enough cushions so we have to have tents. This is known as playing camp.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

You are welcome to visit my house and do this with my children any time

I'd probably end up lecturing the kids: "What type of weaponry we expect the fort to defend against will determine the design of the fort elements; for example, the angle of the fort walls to the ground (which in ships is called the 'tumblehome')...."

What a great boss you have, Allyson!! And congrats on getting the ms out the door!

At the bookstore, the community outreach person had us picking two handsell children's books for our Christmas donation drive (we ask if customers want to pay for copies of books to be given to a charity, NW Hospital this year, and whoever sells the most copies of their two picks wins a prize in January), and when I was writing down my choices, I couldn't help but think that I wanted to put down Sam's story instead.

ItotallyON, Craig Ferguson had Betty White on last night, talking about the candidates.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Some people need to chill out. Neither candidate is insanely radical.

Palin isn't insanely radical? McCain "don't talk to anybody" "Spain is an adversary" "bomb, bomb, bomb Iran" isn't a radical on foreign policy?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Hee hee! Love ticklish Noah and love Betty White!

I just saw a letter from Felcher Financial Group on my boss's desk....

I might be picking up some weekday-evening hours at the law firm which wouldn't interfere with my bookstore hours, so I could increase my pay there from around $120/month to over $200! That paycheck is going solely to my savings account (which I'm finally getting up to a 3-digit balance, with hopes of a 4-digit balance by the end of the year), so every bit will help nicely.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Seriously!!

Allyson, I'm glad, given past jackassery, your boss gets some things right.

McCain’s list of ‘100 distinguished and experienced economists’ has only 90 names.»

And it gets worse....
