Wash: Little River just gets more colorful by the moment. What'll she do next? Zoe: Either blow us all up or rub soup in our hair. It's a toss-up. Wash: I hope she does the soup thing. It's always a hoot, and we don't all die from it.

“Not dead yet!”

Okey doke. I have taken this partial down from 7265 words to 5030.

Agent Kate's description of having taken a hacksaw to it was rather apt. I did take almost all of her suggestions-- now I hope I haven't lost any of the voice or flavor that (hopefully) makes it unique.

Now, I let it rest for a bit, go back, read, and decide if I hate this story or not. If I go with "not" then I get to start adding.

What are people doing this weekend?

Probably writing. However, right now I'm going to send the sliced and diced MS to Agent Kate and probably take the munchkins to the rec center since it's finally not raining.

I'm feeling both vaguely restless and like all I want to do is be a slug. These things are counterintuitive to each other. I need to figure out what to do.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My most exciting plan for the weekend is dinner tomorrow night with a friend from grad school who is back in the US briefly from Moldova! Otherwise, standard stuff like laundry, housecleaning, and then an Arbonne party at my coworker's. I feel like I should actually clean the house before I go out of town next week. Yay vacation!!!!

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

This weekend I am writing a paper. I am not thrilled beyond the telling of it, I'll say that much.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm hoping to decorate for Halloween and get some pumpkins.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

This weekend I am trying to get this vertigo to GO AWAY and get my left ear to, you know, HEAR again.

Tomorrow we have tickets for Cirque du Soleil, to which I *will* be going no matter how bad my vertigo is. I just probably won't be the one driving there.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

This weekend will be work work work. Bookstore on Saturday, law firm on Sunday, and frantically trying to finish my first of two cross-stitch pieces which will be Christmas gifts. Since they're both Christmas-themed pieces, however, I want to have them done and framed before I go out to Vegas on 11/13 (both gifts' recipients will be there). If I'm lucky, I'll have the first one done by 10/15, and then I'll have to get cranking on the second.

This weekend will be cleaning, maybe a trip to a state park. Don't really know.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I wish I had a bunch of cushions, because if I did, I'd spend the weekend making a fort and hiding in it....
