No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Mostly we just flail at each other, and then write some porn.

At which point do you smoke cigarettes?

After the porn, natch. And after the Gatorade and sandwich.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Wow. Christopher Buckley just endorsed Obama: [link]

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Wearing The Hair Of The Dog. Portraits Of People In Clothes Made From Their Pets' Fur.

My dog is tiny so I've been saving her fur for YEARS. My sisters love to tease me about it and about half of the groomers have made a face when I handed them a bag for the clippings.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Christopher Buckley just endorsed Obama

Yep. Perhaps a man who sprinkles his blog posts with Latin phrases doesn't want to be associated with the slavering loonies who seem be to be growing force at McCain gatherings these days. His entire thing seems to be that McCain's become too unseemly to be associated with, and Obama's a Harvard man, at least, although things aren't what they used to be, even in the ivied halls, etc.

But there's so many highlights! The guy who sticks with me is the one who, when one of the protesters says that Palin charged rape victims for their rape kits, responds with "Let 'em die." I mean, it's amazing that the right has finally found a guy ready to stand up against the tyranny of of the real menace here: women who have been raped and yet continue to live. And then there's the guy who finally clears up the vitriol against ACORN: they're responsible for the collapse of the stock market. Who knew?

Congrats, Allyson!

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Congrats Allyson!

Our University President just sent out a note meant to reassure us about the financial crisis, but it actually made me more scared.

“Not dead yet!”

I just got the editing overview letter from Editor Emily, and the line-edited version of the manuscript lands on my doorstep tomorrow. She thinks I did a good job, but wants me to expand some topics and watch out for repetition. Why am I freaking out about this? Why?

Because it's an editing letter and everyone freaks out about those.

However, that said, sweetie, it doesn't sound terribly long or involved and very much sounds positive. It'll be good.
