I have broken up with CSI, but I want to see them grieve for Warrick. Except I have Supernatural and Grey's in that slot.

I've decided to record SPN and CSI and watch Grey's on ABC.com later.

MC: But no cold sweats in the middle of the night?

CM: Oh, no, no, no, no, no. My husband, he’d be the first one to tell you that he was trained to do what he was doing. The guys who had the trouble were the 18-year-olds who were drafted. He was trained, he went to the Naval Academy, he was a trained United States naval officer, and so he knew what he was doing.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I just ran across this story. It's kinda perfect.

While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75-year old Texas rancher whose hand was caught in a gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around to Sarah Palin and her bid to be a heartbeat away from being President.

The old rancher said, "Well, ya know, Palin is a post turtle."

Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a post turtle was.

The old rancher said, "When you're driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a post turtle."

The old rancher saw a puzzled look on the doctor's face, so he continued to explain.

"You know she didn't get up there by herself, she doesn't belong up there, she doesn't know what to do while she is up there, and you just wonder what kind of dumb ass put her up there to begin with."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Good idea, watching Grey's last.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I think I am going to follow the same plan, even though I haven't watched CSI in years

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Heh. Love the phrase "post turtle."

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Glad to hear it's passed, msbelle. Those suck.

Jesse, re: Dirty Sexy Money:

They had a throwaway line about her this episode that said she was "off on an island somewhere" or somesuch. I miss her dynamic with Jeremy. And without her, and with Mama Darling in the brig, the family has become too male.

At least they mentioned her this time.

Good idea, watching Grey's last.

I find abc.com to be an acceptable substitute to actual TV. And they put their new episodes up pretty quick.

I decided to watch CSI live and TiVo the other two, but then I missed the first 15 minutes anyway. I'm too dependent on Steve watching TV for me.
