I'd love to stay up all night on the 4th and soak up the post-Obama-win goodness, but the next day is one of the two busiest of the year for me--the day after a general election, especially a presidential year one, means a lot of ballot measure results that I have to enter into my database here at work.
I was just double-checking my list to make sure I was up-to-date (found a few in Colorado that had been yanked off the ballot that I had as still being on it--oops!), and, man, am I going to busy on 11/5! Waaaay too many ballot issues in 36 states being voted on.
He used to be an organizer, didn't he???
Not for them. They're not new, they go back to 1970-something Arkansas. Most of the time they work on things like getting crack houses razed or fighting dumping near a neighborhood. Ask me how I know all this...go on ask.
Last I remember they weren't even endorsing a candidate (this was before the primaries) though I know they met with Edwards a few times, and I think his platform was closer to the issues they work on.
Basically, watching people trying to connect him to that organization makes me dismiss anything they have to say.
Coming back from coffee I overheard two guys on the street parsing the "that one" line. That comment seems to have more traction than the entire rest of the debate.
ION, they'e remodeling the office so there are two guys pulling wire and cutting holes in the walls. It's periodically VERY LOUD. Also, the Blue Angels are in town and since my window is open it's VERY LOUD.
In short, deaf dizzy Tep should be working in my office today.
I'm getting the kids fed and ready to go to his class' Library Night. He gets to pick up his very own library card with his name on it.
Ooof. Now I'm responsible for two people's library fines.
Okay, now my ringtone is the keyboard intro to "Take on Me."
Yeah, go ahead, point and laugh. I would.
I doubt if [link] is real, but if it is, it means I scored the same on the SATs as Sarah Palin, when I took them in the 7th grade.
I actually did just slightly better. also in the 7th grade.
Barb, did you see the video I linked to a couple days ago?
[link]
Yes, it's a variant of "Take on Me"
A nice follow-up to that other article from Daily Kos that I linked to upthread: Rednecks for Obama!
Barb, did you see the video I linked to a couple days ago?
Yep, saw it then, and after that, it seemed like it appeared all over my various flists and mailing groups. Clearly, I was earwormed.

Oh, I know Acorn. I was just kidding.
