Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Heh.

See, I laughed....

Nope, down about 680 at the close.

I am refreshing the times front page every 10 - 15 seconds and the banking folk around me are not amused.

I could just hit refresh immediately and see a 20 point change, crazy.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

So am I right in reading the chart - from last year, we are down about 30%?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Dear Work Guy,

Why yes, I am going to do that thing we always do. You know how you could have figured that out? By reading the e-mail I sent you that said "Hey, I'm going to do that thing we always do."

You know what wasn't necessary? Sending me an e-mail to explain (incorrectly) what needed to be done. Know why? CAUSE I AM GOING TO DO IT.

Signed,

Your displeased corporate minion

Yep, a year ago was the peak and the Dow has lost a third of its value since then.

I just read that GOP supporters are not happy with Newsweek right now. Palin is on the cover, and they didn't retouch her photo to eliminate the little moustache she has going on.

Now, I'm not one to comment on a woman's facial hair (I've got enough of my own), but last night at B&N, I overheard a couple of female customers talking about the cover of one of the mags in front of my register and making comments about how they couldn't believe "she" let the magazine publish that photo, and how you could see her moustache and where she shaved her chin. I had no clue who they were talking about, but assumed it was some candid photo of Britney or some such celeb on Us or People. I'm quite surprised to find out now that it was Palin on Newsweek!

MAN! if you know you are going to be in the national press (and you care about such things) why would you not get your shit waxed???

TCB, people!!

(although if she doesn't care, whatever)

Huh. My 401K's lost under 20% for the year. Guess I picked better funds than I'd thought.

This is a pretty neat anecdote about how people's lifelong opinions on race are being changed this year.

Heh. My iPod just randomly selected "Money" by the Flying Lizards. But soon I'll have to stop playing it, as the battery is almost dead....
