I do both! But it is a windows work machine.
I just got home, got off the bus, and fell. I almost couldn't get up because I had nothing to hold onto, and I had twisted my ankle under me. That is the 4th or 5th time I have fallen getting off the bus in that spot, and I fear for myself when I get older. It is a really big step for me, and my ankles are really weak, and for some reason, the bus stop is about a foot from pavement, and I need to get out on grass. If I hit a not perfectly flat piece of ground, my ankle twists and down I go.
What a day! Work was also hellaciously stressful, as well as long. I am about to have some ater tots and wine, the dinner of stress.
Ack. Tater tots are healing food, though.
I'm making deep dish pizza again, but I'm still at the first proofing and am hungry, dammit.
That's some day, Sophia. Yikes. Wine sounds like a very good idea.
I had ... frozen pizza for dinner. There was no proofing involved, thank goodness.
I had a hamburger with grilled onions, cheddar and BBQ sauce and a three berry crumble ala mode. My favorite part of business trips--room service!
Mmm...room service.
I'm watching Criminal Minds, and apparently Luke Perry has moved into the creepy dad portion of his career?
Today is my dad's 67th birthday, so I called to inquire about the state of his retirement funds. The good news is that he's been asked to head an initiative that will delay his retirement by at least a year at full pay (he was going to retire after this spring, it's voluntary) with no teaching responsibilities. After that, he may stay on at pulling at least 25% pay until he really really retires. Plus, he still has the free money from Harvard! (There was a lawsuit because the employees were taxed for unvested retirement benefits, so even though he wasn't vested, he got what Harvard invested. It is 10x the original amount.)
They should be ok financially, even with the market doing what it is (just not making 2x what they made working) but I worry still. In addition to worrying what the fuck my dad would do in retirement.
But he had his pineapple upside-down cake with whipped cream and presents from mom (his kids suck) and it's all good.
I am feeling much better. I has my kitty, and some wine, and some tater tots in my belly. I am watching my teevee boyfriend agent spencer reed on Criminal Minds. Also, hello Luke Perry, and guy who got fired for peeing his pants on Mad Men!
Noah's on the porch with us playing with playdoh (good outside toy!). We're watching our skeevy neighbors (there's a house of men, I swear they are making porn).
The leaves are falling on the trees and it feels like fall even though it was 90 degrees today.
All in all, a lovely day.
I had chicken soft tacos and a slice of blueberry pie for dinner.
