Mal: Then I call it a win. What's the problem? Inara: Should I start with the part where you're stranded in the middle of nowhere, or the part where you have no clothes?

hip deep in pie

I think there's a charity for the assless.

The first time ita mentioned the ketamine treatment, I immediately thought of the House episode. No one else remembered the House episode?

When Pico was put to sleep, the vet was very patiently explaining to me what was being done, and he was explaiing to me what Ketamine was and how it would put him in a Euphoric state, and I was thinking, "I know what it is. I've seen House!"

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

ita: Ben Stein.

Ask her how she knows.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I learned what ketamine was when I tried to figure out what the Silver Jews' song "K-Hole" was about.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Did anyone see The Ex-List? That was a good pilot! And I don't like soft dramas like that.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think she's funny looking and I can't buy the coupling hysteria.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

S o we are going to slate the kitchen floor. and DH has come across a new underlayment for stone floors that are good in earthquake country. On the website that sells the stuff -- there are essays. One is entitled "Understanding the Paradigm Shift in Underlayment Technology" . I felt the need to share.

I'm a home improvement wuss of the highest caliber.

I really need to be getting on the road for Indiana. It's so dark and cold, I'm loathe to leave the house.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm heading over to Kernersville soon to take my dad to a new senior living community. His current one doesn't have an assisted living track, and he's finally come to terms with the fact that he'll probably need a bit more help in the not too distant future. It's a little bit sad making, but I'd rather be a touch sad now and know he'll have help when he needs it.

Our wings are not tired.

It is very tough, Calli. I'm glad your father understands that this move is the best plan. It is very good to make the change before he needs the help to make the transition easier.

Am I wrong to feel good about the Simpson verdict? Perhaps I see too much of his smirk on local tv.
