I am making slow progress on the hated work. I'm trying to decide if bribing myself with a trip to Ikea over the weekend in order to come into the office makes any sense. Possibly being alone in the office + weekend Ikea crowds will make everything worse, not better....

I remember a wedding that Lewis was best man at, for his best friend from med school-- both bride and groom were Russian Jews and the families were very practical. They couldn't see the point of buying big ass floral arrangements for the tables, so the centerpieces were big ass bottles of Absolut set on round mirrors with votive candles artfully arranged around each bottle.

That was one of the most raucous weddings we've ever been to, plus bonus! extra vodka left over, so we got to take a few bottles home that made up our vodka stash for several years.
