Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Sigh. I have to share this: One of my students just wrote that Ridley Scott was knighted by Queen Victoria.

sigh.

It's going to be a long day.

I can't stop with the Palin accent - went for lunch, was asked if I wanted something, "you betcha".

Darn it all to heck y'all.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

If I'm going to have to listen to that accent from a VP (or - shudder - PoTUS), I'd rather it was from Marge Gunderson.

SNL has booked Queen Latifah to portray Gwen Ifill

hee!

This is from last week, but I missed it then.

Tina Fey fought to not do ‘SNL’ Palin skit [link]

Also from that article:

While Gov. Palin herself reportedly enjoyed the impersonation, John McCain advisor Carly Fiorina called Fey’s portrayal “sexist.” So what did Tina think about that response? Apparently, not much.

“I saw one lady trying to form a thought that it was sexist on the news but she didn’t get it together, probably because she was a lady and she was dumb,” Fey said. “Wait is that sexist?”

Always Anti-fascist!

Yeah, it kind of makes me sad that people compare Qualin to Marge. I like Marge. She's *good* at her job and never uses her bump as a prop. I read the Rolling Stone thing and thought "God, I hope when I'm seventy, I'm still not thinking about how my dad's a dick." But I'm not over it. Biden got me all choked up yesterday.
