if she was just ignoring the question on purpose

I think that was part of her debate strategy.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think that was part of her debate strategy.

Oh, absolutely -- and it's not a bad strategy! Biden gave a job-interview answer to that one -- didn't he say that people think he cares too much, is too passionate about helping the American people? But at least he opened with a reference to the Achilles thing.

not your mom's socks.

I don't want a vp who has among his/ her main abilities "memorizes pretty well" and "great dissembler."

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

For those following along at home: am still unsure I will survive this project, have so fucked myself with lack of sleep and over-caffienation to the point I may never recover and am still dealing with the asshole throwing his weight around and stalling momentum on this project at every turn.

However, project lead is still in my corner, and Asshole has been so rude and dismissing to so many people on my team ( including my boss when she tried to talk to him) that the situation has been escalated to his superiors. Who commented that this wasn't the first time they were hearing this and he will be getting a talking to.

I about lost it on a conference call last night (at 10 fucking pm) when he started going on about bullshit that was 90% his doing.

If I get through this without cursing him out to his face I'll call it a win.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I think that was part of her debate strategy.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I don't want a vp who has among his/ her main abilities "memorizes pretty well" and "great dissembler."

Especially one who does not actually memorize all that well.

I with you the best of luck brenda m.

With the topic of the current VP coming up, I remembered that Cheney still exists. I'm sort of surprised they won't even reanimate him to deliver some "Frankly, blah blah blah" gravitas during the financial situation we're having. Well, maybe not really surprised, but boy has he disappeared from the face of the Earth.

I don't want to be here. We've decided we don't trust the thing we decided to trust which means even more work and maybe an oh fuck and the people we need are all out and their backups aren't answering emails and I'm supposedly acceptance testing something I must accept, so what is the point anyway and I'm just fucking cranky.

My cats were all passed out in the sun this morning and I'd rather be them.

Punishingly Intricate

Somehow I was reading Liese as lisah and wondering how you get away with not parallel parking in Baltimore.

hah! I'm actually pretty good at parallel parking (although I don't have to do too much day-to-day anymore due to parking lot at work and parking pad at home). The key is that you have to remember the word 'bumper' has the word 'bump' in it and not be afraid to gently hit the cars in front or in back of you. You probably won't hit them but you can't be afraid of hitting them!

I have debate hangover!
