Palin isn't generating any Katie Couric moments, but the audience reaction doesn't seem to be buying into her. I don't see this as a game-changer. It may halt some of the slide away from McCain - Palin at least achieved coherence - but it's not going to win people back for him.

wait...How does McCain know how to win a war?
"Trust us. John will win this war for us. He's the daddy and I'm the mommy. Just trust us."
from a war we lost. where he got captured and crashed planes.
oh wait, that's unpatriotic. sorry, I've been reading factcheck.org, forgot facts don't matter.
Wars Since McCain was 18:
Vietnam. Desert Storm. Iraq. Drugs.
We only won one of those.
STOP WINKING.
Do not go to the former Yugo. It's more complex than talking points. And not hundreds of years. Legacies of crusades and empires and invasions and local politics and tribes and calculated rivalries invoked. Of course, only me and the five others who've studied it really care.
(I once dreamed- while writing multiple papers on the topic- that the "enter" key on my keyboard was "fmr" so I could type faster.)
And... Matilda just had a Gabba Gabba sobbing fit and I'm still feeling just too sick and weary to deal with it, so no more debate.
No. Wait. I should check CNN or PBS online. Derr.
"Say it ain't so, Joe?"
HOLY HELL.
"Say it ain't so, Joe! Doggone-it! God bless her!"
Actually, maybe I'll expire from an overload of folksy charm first.
I don't think the people are buying the gosh golly gees.
We only won one of those.
We won the war on drugs?!?!??! That's awesome.
