Giles: I jump out of the circle, jump back in, and, and, shake my gourd. Buffy: Hey, I think I know this ritual. The ancient shamans were next called upon to do the Hokey-Pokey and to turn themselves around.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

David - your office has a wine cellar?

Answering for Hec, just in case he doesn't actually make it back online for a while--his current job is at a boutique law firm specializing in wine law. How freaking cool is that?

Yay for it not being a horrible hassle, msbelle.

Bookmarking Allyson's AFL-CIO link for later.

Off to the bathtub now, to bathe my gunkus-coated lungs and throat with gallons of steam. I'm so sick of being sick.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

ION - October is breast cancer awareness month.

Ladies, if you are 40 or over and have not yet gotten a mammogram, please schedule one. If you have any history of breast cancer in your family and are 35 or older, please schedule one. Even without reason for concern a baseline mammogram between 35 and 40 is a good idea.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I have to start mammograms next year.

Art Crawl!!!

Okay - JZ - thath is pretty freaking cool.

Zap2it's description of the VP debate (as one of their best bets on tv for tonight):

VP Smackdown

Vice Presidential candidates Joe Biden and Sarah Palin debate each other in St. Louis and provide fodder for this week's "Saturday Night Live."

brillig

I was at the doctor yesterday and said to myself, "I should schedule a tit squish." I din't though. I am bad.

Wine law? There's enough business in that to warrant an entire law *firm*? I knew I should have become a lawyer.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Had my baseline mammo a few months back. Yay!

msbelle, that's a relief about the gas billing. I'm glad it wasn't a huge thing to deal with. And we'd love the pjs! Owen keeps hitting growth spurts. Go figure.

I fortunately know a little girl who is CRAZY for the Wizard of Oz so I send all the WoZ toys to her and her mother.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

It's an amazing speech by AFL-CIO about racism.

Now there's some straight talk.

sarameg - Oct 02, 2008 10:05:08 am PDT #1931 of 10001

Hey, I got a team award.

Of course, it was for the thing where all I did was simple data entry and box-making (they needed people for scut work, and I had the time,) which, you know, not exciting or challenging, but what the heck.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

(So if things go really wrong, you need to get them all downstairs and then find yourself a coupla of vampires.)

It actually has a cage with a lock - like the library in BtVS. They also have their old softball team equipment mixed in with the magnums and methuselahs and other mega bottles. In Nov. they have the Big Bottle party, where they invite a select bunch of people to drink lots and lots of super expensive wine for free.
