All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Bills paid, PTA newsletter off to the principal.

At first glance I thought the PTA was paying off the principal. Scandal!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Billy Budd didn't put me to sleep, because of the amount of time I spent imagining strangling Billy Budd. Note to authors: If everyone wants your character dead, when you finally kill him, all readers feel is relief.

Someone could sent the Heros writing room that memo.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Do you LIKE a touch of sour, Typo Boy? If so, I like fresh homemade tomatoes tossed with penne, with olive oil, minced garlic, capers, feta, (god, it took me 5 times to type "feta" and not "etfa") and red peppers. Eat hot or cold, but I think it tatses better when you make it the night before and eat it cold.

Oh, sometimes I toss toasted pine nuts in there too.

I'm going to follow the link trends of the past day.

Political humor: Biden's debate prep.

Old family photos: Me & my mom, me & my dad, wee happy me, and one of me that always cracks me up.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Biden's debate prep cracked me up.

The debates are going to be a trainwreck, aren't they?

Oof.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Damn, aurelia -- that made me laugh until I nearly cried. Especially Biden asking if he could hold his granddaughter during the debate....

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have one of those days with a lot of meetings with a little time in between, but it doesn't feel like enough time to get anything done (this is, of course, a lie), so I'm totally going to waste my day.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Ugh, Jesse. I hate those kinds of days.

LOVE the Biden link though.
