My vcr remote died. I know, I know. But I don't have a tivo, and 2 shows are on at once.
Why is cancelling my electric service a difficult thing? Surely this is something people do every day! Release me, Texas company!
probably age 6-ish (there was no date on the back).
1. WAY too cute!!!!
2. I see where D. got his eyes.
ita, I just sent some Joshua Jackson pictures to provocateuse.
I'm loving all the childhood pictures. Thanks, Shir!
I only have one or two here and no scanner. All that stuff is at my parents'. Which reminds me I promised I'd take them into work. I'd love to share one of my mom camping, either early in the marriage or courtship. She's sitting on a boulder and has got cute bedhead and rumples and you REALLY wonder what they'd been up to just prior. And she looks 12. OK, maybe just to me, but...no. She looks 12. She had to have been at least 20.
Am trying so hard not to send a fuck you email to someone at work. Same jackass as the Clinton comment the other day. I'm not laughing now.
I am livid. I am fucking shaking I'm so pissed at this email he just sent me and his fucking entitled, disrespectful behavior. Asshole.
Er, what did he say, Brenda?
And FWIW, step away from the keyboard. Assholes are not worth work write-ups, however enticing it might be to send the well-earned "fuck you, fucktard" fuck-offmail.
brenda, is it general jackassery or political? Because if it is the latter, you might have workplace rules that might put a kibbosh on it. And if it is general jackassery, time to use the fwd tool....
I really resented the email during 2000 telling us to be respectful and keep a lid on it. But then there was a shouting match and a thrown coffee filter in the hall, and really, adults should be more so, BUT. Among my close coworkers, we happily give each other shit, but there are lines we don't cross. Saying shit we aren't sure if it is insulting is one of those lines. We only insult with intent...
Oh god, what didn't he say. He's being a fucking drama queen about how he needs more support from our team, which we could have provided if he had a) explained more clearly what he needed and b) not gotten his drafts in two fucking weeks late and unfinished so that now we've only got like three days to wrap up this massive project of which he is only a part.
Actually, we did go the extra mile to provide him with support today, at a time when our team is stressed beyond belief. I gather that what he asked for wasn't actually what he needed - how else to explain this:
If we can’t free up a designer, we will need to try and find other available and more flexible resources, ie. starting tomorrow morning. I asked yesterday for one this afternoon and that didn’t happen.
In an email to the fucking person who spent her afternoon helping him (and about 8 other people). You didn't ask for a designer, jackass.
What's really fucking me over is that we had put together a sort of theme statement which he flipped his shit at - so we decided okay, we're not married to it, let's let him get his two cents in. So I went and met with him and we came up with something else and then he says this:
[theme statement shit] for the whole thing was disconnected, you came down here and watched me stress through a hundred files to gather four words. The person who comes down here and takes it from me can funnel it through you, that’s all good and as it should be, but I am not personally gathering it, and we don’t have anyone else here who can. Don’t send [person from my team who fucking stepped up and put aside her own crazy fucking workload to deal with his shit all day]
See if I humor your ass again, motherfucker. Also, the next time you let a deadline slip by 15 fucking minutes you better believe I'm escalating that shit instantaneously
