Willow: Were there dolphins? Tara: Yes. Many dolphins at the pound. Willow: Was there a camel? Tara: There was the front of a camel. A half-camel.

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Happy anniversary, Reasons!

Happy birthday, Daniel!

This is Halloween! Everybody make a scene!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Shir, good thoughts going out to you and your friend and her family. I'm so sorry for all your losses and ongoing sadness. May November be all the good and gentle and kind that October wasn't, and then some.

Happy Reasonniversary!

Happy Halloween! I'm at work all dressed up as...basically, as Jilli, though more Mary Poppins' Evil Twin than Cupcake. I really wish I had the budget to dress like this all the time (the budget, and an extra room for all the petticoats).

Matilda update: After several attempts, I've finally gotten her to approve of Lilo & Stitch. She now says, "Watch Lilo?" as soon as we get home every evening, and gets very anxious when it looks like Lilo is going to be taken away to outer space in a little glass capsule, so we have to reassure her and say, "Don't worry, Lilo! Stitch will rescue you!"

Also, she addresses Noni's not-quite-boyfriend David half the time as David, and the other half as Daddy.

eta: Happy birthday, Daniel! How did I not know before that you're a Halloweenster? What an excellent birthday!

Happy Anniversary, Jilli and Pete!!!

Happy Birthday, Daniel!!!

Happy Halloween, everyone!!! I just opened the candy. Hopefully there will be some left for the little monsters tonight. We're living in a neighborhood with kids this year, so I think we might get some kids coming by this year.

My car is ready, and I have guilted someone into taking me to get it in a couple of hours.

I seem to have decided on a costume, myself...a very scary costume. I just bought a blonde wig. I'm going as...CINDY MCCAIN! Creeeeepy.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Matilda update: After several attempts, I've finally gotten her to approve of Lilo & Stitch.

Yay!! I have to buy a new copy of L&S - I seem to have lent it out and forgotten who has custody of it right now. Very sad.

meara is SKEEEEERY! (Do you have the zombie stare down yet?)

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Emeline's costume has been procurred. She is going as Fancy Nancy. [link]

She's wearing a dress from later in the book - not the one from the cover.

not your mom's socks.

this. so much this.

Aww Fancy Nancy.

The butterfly costume will be ready tonight, I think. I just made antennae with padded florists' wire and a headband as the base, and put some bits on top for the wiggly things. She's got a black turtleneck that I'm sewing more bits and pieces onto, and I'm making shoulder straps for the wings. Add one pair of black tights, and one ballerina skirt, and I think we're go.

Though I can't tell. I was inspired to do home-made costume this year and now I think that was totally insane.

Plus, we were surprised by "wear Phillies gear to school!" day today. (and we have none - hence my shopping this weekend)

I not good news I just found out some dear family friends are getting a divorce. I feel so bad for them and their sons.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Happy birthday, Daniel!

Thanks for the anniversary wishes, everyone! I took the day off, so we're going to go out to lunch, and then carve pumpkins.
