Zoe: Uh huh. River, honey? He's putting the hair away now. River: It'll still be there... waiting.

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Yay for Lucy being home and ok, more or less.

Yay for Barb not being injured too badly.

Opening night + champagne + margaritas... that said, um, I think the caterer was flirting with me tonight. of course, I realized that as I was walking away. Didn't ask for phone number, not that I am any good at that. Must figure out, is there a way to contact her without it being stalky. Seems romantic and stalky is a thin line.

Since this post took forever to write, and it's not that long of a post, I'm guessing I need to sleep. What? I'm not drunk.

Eh, Omnis, catering is a nice public business, so it is not like the contact information is going to be top secret. If you ask whomever organized the party the name of the caterer, you can pass it off to that person as a referral kind of thing - they don't need to know why you want to get hold of her. Then call tomorrow, ask if she wants to go out for coffee. That's not stalky.

Googling her business records until you find out her home address, going there, breaking into the place to strew rose petals, and make coffee for her using her own machine - now that would be stalky.

now ya tell me. :: sweeps up rose petals ::

The idea I had, again, this is booze tainted, was to send a note to the restaurant, maybe with a poor attempt at a poem if I could muster up the creativity. Of course, thinking about it and doing it... ya, two different things. I really hate being shy.

Huh. So drunk stalking is way funnier to watch than drunk posting. Who knew?

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Drunk PLANNING stalking is amusing ... the real thing would probably be less so (although, since it's our o_a, that would probably be cute).

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Either I'm snappy today or I just have nothing in common any longer with one of my past best friends (whom I'm in touch with quite frequently). I went to see her and her other friend (who also went with me to high school, and I dislike her), and it was just like we're on different spheres. They just returned from their big travels in South America, but still... Arrrgh. I was supposed to have lunch with them, but it all went down while they giggled. I don't know what about you, but I don't giggle for an hour straight when I'm hungry, and I was in a hurry for them.

I'm just snappy, right?

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Obviously, it's the exact same clumsiness that leads to, say, bumping into tables (causing a bruise and some embarrassment) and tripping over cables attached to IMPORTANT EXPENSIVE THINGS (causing, well, I'll leave that to your imagination, but let's just say that I think all so-called "portable" things should have better shock-proofing, dammit!), but oh boy does one have a bigger effect on my self-confidence and -esteem. I'm such a gigantic loser.

Also, most of what I was going to put in my Educational Technology profile, due next Saturday, was on that computer.

Oh, Em. Shit.

ETA: Do you have somewhere (a Best Buy Geek Squad, maybe) you can take the computer to see if they can recover the data?
