I *so* wish I had meant that as a joke. Like, I was clever enough to have put that together and still played stupid.
So sorry - I always think of you as Andi. And in my defense, you need a picture!
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Random note to Andi, my maiden name was Miller. That makes the possibility of us being related about zero, but I'll pretend.
How long have you lived in Florida? Cuz that's where my dad's family is from. Different part of the state, though - Pensacola, Quincy, Tallahassee. The sooner we have this conversation, the smaller the chance that we could be related. Which means if don't have it now, 15 years from now we will find out that we're second cousins twelve times removed, and end up saying, "Now, why didn't we figure this out sooner?"
I moved here as an adult. My father was born in Tupper Lake, NY. His family was mostly from upstate NY and Canada. But ya know, some ancestor may have gone a travelin'.

No need to feel that way. Double checking is never wrong.

Andi is what my family call me, which is why I felt comfortable using it here. And I've got a picture up now.

Heh, less and less likely. My paternal grandfather was actually German, rather than English - don't know when or how far back the name got anglicized. That's ok, genetic ties are interesting, but the internet is thicker than water, too.
At my Cousin's wedding on Saturday we discovered that the Bride's stepfather has the same last name as the Groom's greatgrandmother.
It is not a common name. And they were from the same state. Same part of the same state.
The fact that its her stepfather will not keep us from teasing the shit out of them.
I recognized Windsparrow from her beautiful picture!!!
Trudy, that is so horrible and tragic. My thoughts are with the families. Much health & healing ~ma to your friend's little boy.
Sox, job~ma for your DH.
beth, I hope you're not too sore today after your fall.
I'm sorry if I've missed folks in my skipping and skimming! I haven't been around much because things have been crazy busy. After almost three weeks of non-stop work, I've finally completed moving out my old place, moving into the new place with DF, fixing up the old place, and getting it on the market (as of this recent last Saturday). Mike and I now get to dive into the ton of boxes we need to unpack so that new place feels a little like home.
If there's any house sell now ~ma, please to direct it toward CO. Unless Suzi is still trying to sell her place, and then keep the ~ma heading to CA.
Job-ma~~~ to Sox's DH.
I jobnews of the weird, DH's co decided that they need him for another 30 days. ( Surprise -- they hired some one with a lot less knowledge than DH -- new 'management style' but style over substance doesn't work so well in the tech world) Since he hasn't found anything yet, we'll take it . But keep sending new job ma~~~~
Unless Suzi is still trying to sell her place, and then keep the ~ma heading to CA.
Thanks hon, though I'm happy to share the ~ma as it is powerful. While it hasn't brought me a buyer yet, I'm still a believer.
Meanwhile, I feel like crap and wanna go home.
