( Surprise -- they hired some one with a lot less knowledge than DH -- new 'management style' but style over substance doesn't work so well in the tech world) Since he hasn't found anything yet, we'll take it . Sorry! We didn't really announce anything. We just came to the conclusion that we know we're getting married (possible date is Jan 12th, but we'll see), even though I don't want an engagement ring. And I've asked him to go cheap on the wedding ring (and to get spares) because I'll probably lose the first three. But yes, we've decided we're engaged.
