I've more-than-made-out in an alley. It was pretty fun, actually. She was my boss too, so it had that extra air of naughty.
Just back from taking Cash down Haight Street where she loaded up on goodies at the bookstore (Booksmith) and kid's store (For Kids Only, lots of dress up stuff for O and Liv. Yes, he got his own fairy wand) and the girly store (Ambiance) and the t-shirt store (vintage baseball t-shirt - the Nevada Lunatics).
She's on the train downtown to meet up with Deb, and they're going to the brunch with many other localistas.
Last night we had dinner in North Beach. Matilda was only occasionally squirmy in my lap, and the food was yum and...Hey, I've got leftovers in the fridge for lunch! Hello, linguini with clam sauce.
How very wrong in a unbuttoned shirt with a shiny gold medallion sort of way.
This is immediately where my mind went.
My house has next to nothing to eat. Thus I haven't had breakfast or lunch yet. I really don't feel like stepping out in 100º+ weather to get gas and food... but I have to. Plus, I don't want to go to store hungry. And the Olympics aren't helping any.
I have been stunningly unproductive today. This is not good.
I haven't done much other than watch TV and think about not wanting to go to work tomorrow.
I believe there is sushi and wine in the refrigerator. At least dinner should be decent.
I haven't done much of anything today. I kind of thought about going into my office, but I ended up watching the Olympics and L&O instead.
I've spent all alternating between napping and watching TV. The meds are making me all shaky and icky.
Okay, I've made plans for us to run away to Disney for a couple of days during Labor Day weekend. We have the yearly passes, why not use 'em, right?
My children, they love me.
I have spent the day hanging out with Sponge Bob and standing in lines. I am mourning the loss of cell (and therefore free Internet) in about thirty minutes. But good people and good food make that all much better. Plus, I just signed up to get my PADI scuba open water certification. Class and pool dives tomorrow and then two open water dives in Cozumel on Tuesday. Whee!
I also need to do all of this week's school emails and finish reading
Tender is the Night
and do some prep for real school that starts next week. Meep. Not going to think about that right now.
One other bit of good news: Drew's mom is out of the hospital. No guarantee that everything is going to be all right, but it's good news that they released her. Crossing fingers and toes that she gets better rather than worse this week.
Okay, loves, sorry to meme post and run. I'll try to check back in a couple of times this week. Hope you are all well. Much luck and -ma to my teaching brethren who are heading back to work this week!
