Occasionally I'm callous and strange.

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I haven't done much of anything today. I kind of thought about going into my office, but I ended up watching the Olympics and L&O instead.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I've spent all alternating between napping and watching TV. The meds are making me all shaky and icky.

“Not dead yet!”

Okay, I've made plans for us to run away to Disney for a couple of days during Labor Day weekend. We have the yearly passes, why not use 'em, right?

My children, they love me.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

I have spent the day hanging out with Sponge Bob and standing in lines. I am mourning the loss of cell (and therefore free Internet) in about thirty minutes. But good people and good food make that all much better. Plus, I just signed up to get my PADI scuba open water certification. Class and pool dives tomorrow and then two open water dives in Cozumel on Tuesday. Whee!

I also need to do all of this week's school emails and finish reading Tender is the Night and do some prep for real school that starts next week. Meep. Not going to think about that right now.

One other bit of good news: Drew's mom is out of the hospital. No guarantee that everything is going to be all right, but it's good news that they released her. Crossing fingers and toes that she gets better rather than worse this week.

Okay, loves, sorry to meme post and run. I'll try to check back in a couple of times this week. Hope you are all well. Much luck and -ma to my teaching brethren who are heading back to work this week!

Thrive to spite them

Well I was having communications issues with him so the break up wasn't strictly about the hair but that was.... well you can't have a therapist you can't look at. And I had the overwhelming urge to ask if aliens abudcted him and replaced his brain with pudding.

Always Anti-fascist!

The stupid thing that doctors always do is act surprised that I've got CP, because it's a pediatric condition. Well, so's life. At first. Also stupid, my insurance is now looking in my medical records for proof that I need a wheelchair seat cushion. But I don't have a wounded butt because they always bought them before. Duh. I'm not really willing to get a pressure sore to teach them a lesson.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

because it's a pediatric condition

Huh? Do they think CP patients are like Peter Pan?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Wait, what? The CP was supposed to go away on your 18th birthday?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

sj, hope you feel better.

erika, I bet you've got enough stupid doctor stories to fill a lengthy tome.

Glad to hear Drew's mom is back home.

Still tweaking from caffeine & meds, arggh. It's making me feel like I have performance anxiety, which I don't.
