Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

thank you thank you thank you :)

So for the election day polling, is there training? Just trying to get a sense of time commitment.

ION, I left my cell phone at home. I feel naked. and I have another 12 hour work day. with no internet on my hip. t/1stworldproblems

move out and draw fire

Happy belated natal day, omnis!

I actually signed up to be an election worker this year. As a federally-funded company, my employment makes me fall under the Hatch Act, so I can't actively work for a particular candidate.

But since there were so many newly registered Democrats in VA that some of them weren't able to vote in the primaries due to a shortage of poll workers, I figure my non-partisan participation might actually help a certain candidate, while still being legal.

ANYWAY, I have to be there at 5:00 am and stay until after the polls close, and they pay me $100. I'm planning on bringing my laptop, and/or a book.

I'm sure it varies from place to place. You should call your election board.

Happy birthday!

Not that I want you to be overworked but I'm hoping it'll be too busy for you to look at either!

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

However, be prepared-- after this brief honeymoon period, they will then begin to not-so-subtly ask "So, when are you going to be bringing someone by?"

Thanks for the heads up. I'll start thinking about answers.

Happy belated birthday, omnis!

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

…we’d like a poster of Salma Hayek for our cell, please. No reason.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I went out to Eastern Standard again last night- I cannot resist their Pimms cocktails! We got the bone marrow; the raclette (baked up cheese with apple and other stuff); a salad that included a poached egg, pork bits, and sweetbreads; and the charcutierie plate that had a couple different pates, a headcheese, pork rillette, some crazy sausage, and housemade beef jerky.

I am full of meat and feel ready to travel with Anthony Bourdain.
