Lorne: Once the word spreads you beat up an innocent old man, well, the truly terrible will think twice before going toe-to-toe with our Avenging Angel. Spike: Yes. The geriatric community will be soiling their nappies when they hear you're on the case. Bravo.

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Oh, billytea, didn't you just LOVE it?

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

billytea, I went to see that in LA last week - it was great, I thought.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Oh, billytea, didn't you just LOVE it?

We did rather. I can see why it's popular here. Interestingly, Wallybee actually found Glinda the more engaging character.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I'm glad you had a good birthday, Aims.

Yeah, the universe should go spend all its time picking on Cheney and lay off Drew and family.

I love Little Debbie snacks

Back when I was a student publications adviser, the students doing an all-night production of the humor magazine decided that for sustenance they'd buy every single type of Little Debbie snack. When I came in in the morning, the production room was littered with half-eaten remains.

Kristin! Are you having a nice, relaxing time?

Hi! For the most part, yes. I've been helping Drew and the Nick folks out where I can to get ready for this charter, so I haven't been relaxing all of the time. And honestly, the expensive internet is a bit stressful since I'm still trying to keep on top of the online class. But still, can't beat the office!! It's beautiful everywhere we've gone, and the food is yum. I think I've gained five pounds this week alone.

I'm bummed that I'm missing the Olympics, though.

Ah, Wicked. Love that show. I saw it on Broadway a few years ago and really enjoyed it. And how can you not love Glinda? "Popular" is the funniest song in the show. I'm so glad I got to see Kristin Chenoweth playing that role.

Yeah, the universe should go spend all its time picking on Cheney and lay off Drew and family.

Thanks, Ginger. That's the other huge stressor right now that I am trying very hard not to fret about too much. We haven't heard anything new since Friday, which could be good or bad. It's hard to know.

Librarian Warlord

the production room was littered with half-eaten remains.

So all the sugar in the Little Debbie snacks made the students turn on each other? Terrrrrrible tragedy!

Sassafras and went to the dog park at 7 a.m. and just got home. Coffee, please. My DH is out of town every weekend this month, so the pupper-fras and I are getting lots of quality time together.

Aimee, a very happy belated birthday!

Drew, family ~ma headed your way.

Kristin, which route are you on?

Western Caribbean: Labadee, Haiti (Royal Caribbean's little private island); Ocho Rios, Jamaica; Georgetown, Grand Caymen; and Cozumel, Mexico. We're going in the reverse order of the same stops this week. I've spent most of my time on the ship so far, but I'm planning to try to schedule some fun time on the islands next week. I'm thinking about getting scuba certified so I can do a real dive since the one I went on was a total tease.

On a more practical note, I need to find some laundry detergent so I can wash some of my clothes and hang them to dry. Laundry is stupid expensive on the ship, and they'd probably shrink my shirts accidentally (they say to wash/dry, but I always hang dry since they're cotton). I only packed for a week since I wasn't supposed to stay on this week, so I'm a bit short on clothes!

Okay, I'm off for a bit. Wish me customs and re-embarking luck. Hugs to all who want or need them.

I absolutely love Wicked. It's a great musical, with clever, catchy numbers, wonderful characters, and good themes. Plus, it has strong gay positive themes that are stealth enough to be friendly for the mainstream audience.

I would have liked to see Chenoweth and Menzel perform the show, but the LA cast was stellar in it's own right.
