Haven't you killed me enough for one day?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Our 7-cup is more than enough for one, two, friends, small-to-middling parties. I think the 12-cup size is for people who like to pretend they're pros at home, and/or that scary fundie family with the 19 kids. As Barb says, if anything, I wish for a smaller one more often than a larger one.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

Some of the brands have a small insert bowl, for dealing with smaller quantities. If you want to get a bigger one, maybe look for one that has that feature?

Thrive to spite them

I was looking on Amazon. They have 12 cup with a 4 cup bowl included and a 7 cup with a 3 cup bowl included.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Not to put you on another track, but I LOVE my stick blender, and it came ith an attached mini food processor. It is awesome, because I can process all kinds of soups and sauces without dirtying anything other than the pan it as cooked in. If you are looking primarily for chopping/slicing., thougj, that is not the way to go.

Thrive to spite them

I have a stick blender, or I did I think I tossed it because it didn't work that great and it was kinda cheap. I need to get a replacement and I love it. But I have a bunch of recipes I'd love to try but for a variety of reasons they need a food processor.

But I need to replace the stick blender, it was great for pureeing soups and things.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Stick blenders are great, but dangerous. I discovered that I could make fresh whipped cream with one in under 30 seconds. My consumption of fresh whipped cream went up dramatically.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I have a stick blender, but it doesn't work very well. The blades aren't really sharp at all, and they don't blend anything unless it was really mushy to begin with.

“Not dead yet!”

Yeah, I used to have a stick blender and loved it, but I killed it with a batch of split pea soup.

Of which I really want some now. Except it's 90 freakin' degrees. Can it be November already?

Our wings are not tired

S's truck is blowing oil smoke like crazy, and had been making a nasty rattling noise on the trip. I think she's got a blown gasket.

Sean, if you need to borrow the Diablo Sound truck for a few days to get around, you are welcome to. Just let me know and I'll let our housesitter know to not worry that it's gone. The gas mileage on the truck sucks, but it's reliable.
