Maybe.
Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
That poll's being pushed on a lot of right wing blogs. As with most internet polls, the credibility of its sample goes down about hourly.
I voted twice. On the iPhone, and the computer. Fuck 'em. At least they are honest, right on the results page it says "not scientific". Ya think? But if that's the case, 50/50 is hardly a glowing endorsement. IJS.
Tons of surgery~ma for your nephew, sj
I'm taking Friday off to go to the EdTA conference.
Hope it goes well. Every year I think, "this year I'll get to go to EdTA." It never works out. (the same goes for USITT) It's gotten hard enough to try to get to FATE (Florida Association of Theatre Educators), FTC (Florida Theatre Conference), SETC (South Eastern Thteare Conference) and Thespian State.
If my school helped with some of the costs it would be easier. Except for Thespian Districts and State, I have to take personal time to attend any conference and foot the bill myself.
Surgery~ma for the brave little dude. Boston Children's is where my friend whose son was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome chose to go (she lives in Las Vegas), so I have good feelings about the doctors there and their abilities.
My sister tells me that a student of hers who missed a test on Monday emailed her on Tuesday that it was because he was involved in a fight over the weekend and was injured. He attached a jpeg labeled "wound" that she refused to open. Dear Students: Just because you can share, doesn't mean you should.
sj, so much ~ma! Hang in there, little guy!
Dear Students: Just because you can share, doesn't mean you should.
Oh, my. Though, I have a prof right now that would probably need that kind of proof...
Thanks, guys. Sparky, yes I am very very grateful that this surgery is happening at Boston Children's by the same doctor who did the first surgery. He and his team know J's case very very well.
Gronk. No sleep last night. TCG was snoring like crazy.
TCG was snoring like crazy.
Uh oh. That would be me. CBD is SO thankful for ear plugs. Poor you! I apologize on behalf of all of us snorers.
You don't have to spend 13 years at the next job as long as you're comfortable committing for at least a year or two.
Heh, this is what I keep telling Tom- really, it's OK to only be at a place for a year or 2- you're not automatically committing to another 10 years!
Speaking of which... Tom has his big interview today for The Job He Really Wants and the Place He Really Wants. After a month and a half of rejection, it's hard for both of us to get our hopes up, but, god, this would be *so* great if he got this. Really, really, a lot.
So, if you can point your job~ma Cambridge/Boston-ward for Tom this morning (starting about nowish till maybe 10am board time (1pm EST) that would be most appreciated!
I may be as nervous as him. I want this SO BAD for him. I've been trying to not portray the intensity of my emotion to him though, he's got enough internal pressure on him as it is.
Gronklies...
I have a ton of work to get done today. I tried to switch over to Outlook from Windows Mail last night so I could track projects better and couldn't get it to work. I thought it would be a half hour. I turned into three hours of frustration. It seems to be one of those can't-get-there-from-here things. I can't even get it to send and receive mail, even though the tests supposedly worked.
And on a completely other subject, much ~ma for J.
