You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this girl is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport. Yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Hee. Now I'm picturing a scenario where someone has to mention Ho-Ho-Kus.

Our wings are not tired.

It is good to hear that the pirate party was fun for all.

Crazy busy week to come, after a work filled weekend. Ugh. My visits here will have to be severely limited. DH flies to New Orleans tomorrow morning. He's there for a couple days. That adds more to the list of course.

No doubt I will be more lurky than posty, so know my ~ma is there for a pleasant, prosperous, productive, and porny week for all.

not your mom's socks.

You are getting out of there soon, right?

Did. Though DH and a number of friends' cousins came on Friday night. I think if possible, when traveling, having the number of parenty-types being one more than the number of kids is the best. From Friday on, we had that. Prior to then, nsm. I knew going in that my free ride was courtesy of my bringing a portion of the entertainment - although I didn't factor my laptop into that portion - that, and a few other factors, kept things extra complicated. The best things happened when we took field trips with the kids. Though the Lost Colony on Roanoake Island? Nothing there. Amazingly true to brand. Festival park was kind of hilarious.

Am wiped out and ready to start the week. Yay?

Ha! I had the same (but directly opposite) problem at first with Edinborough.

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

My aunt wrote my mother about the Nice Ironman and how possibly she and I could do it next year. Cue hysterical laughing on my part. I asked her to postpone the fantasy a year and I might be able to make it 1/2 through the bike course.

Oy. I got almost no sleep last night. Today will be fun, won't it.

Sox, glad you're back.

I don't know what your definition of free ride is, but your descriptions have not equaled my idea of a free ride vacation.

vw, glad the pirate party was a hit!

I lived in FL and my sister went to FSU ('94) and I think she was even part of the marching band at one point, but the football talk goes right over my head.

askye, I hope your F2F goes as swimmingly as your Ear2Ear do.

I read 3 books and went to a wedding far away this weekend. I should have done some cleaning. Guess I should hop to that, huh.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Huh. I got a paycheck from the job I quit on Labor Day. It's a paycheck I didn't work for.

Might not be a mistake, it might be that their pay periods are three weeks behind??

Librarian Warlord

Welcome back, Sox. It sound like our parental units had a nice visit over the weekend. Mom said Tucker was sitting on their bed when they went up, and stayed sleeping between them the whole night.

That might be all the posting I get to do today...work (and my tendency to procrastinate) have caught up with me. Have a good one, Bitches!

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Sparky and Laura, you know how much I love to watch you work, but if you haven't got your health, you haven't got anything. Take care of yourselves, lovelies.

I'm in my office watching kids bring in stuff for demonstration speeches. Frankly, I don't like them, but the kids love them, so I do them. I know 2 of the 4 groups scheduled for today will be ready to go, the other 2? I'm not so sure. I have a back-up worksheet planned just in case.

Bran muffin:

And, I feel kinda sticky today. I had a slounge day on Saturday. Sunday afternoon, I went to take a shower and the water knob came off in my hand. Turning on the water is impossible without the knob. So, I washed my hair in the kitchen sink last night and washed bits in the bathroom sink this morning. I haven't had a proper shower since Friday.

I left a message for maintenance yesterday so I hope they get on it today. I went by the management office this morning, and they weren't open yet. That concerns me a bit since it was almost 8 and they usually open at 7:30. I hope they're in today. I don't want to go another day without a proper shower.
