Thrive to spite them

Also the gas situation is still really bad here, because of that panicked people driven run on gas a week ago ,and then people topping off when they have almost a full tank, we still don't have the regular levels of gas and people are having to drive around to find stuff.

According to the paper the town managed to suck up a weeks worth of gas in a matter of hours that Friday. And it keeps getting sucked up, it has nothing to do with the hurricane or the fuel supply, just people driven panic.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Thank heaven for Owen and Matilda, is all I have to offer today. Just...thank goodness for them, and for all the beautiful, brainy, and wonderful Buffista sprog. They're my only hope.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I'm drinking one of Tom's organic saison noir beers and ignoring the Bush fool as usual. Mmm, delicious denial...

Thrive to spite them

I just realized I had a weird dream last night about trying to go to the game, and how I was suddenly go with my kinda secret boyfriend who was no longer going to be secret.

Which I guess could kinda be based in reality since..well I don't really have a secret boyfriend but ...well I've met someone while playing SL and he's really great and we've gotten to really know each other. In fact he calls me every morning and, well, anyway he's coming down so we can meet in person. I haven't really talked about him or our relationship because, well I guess I'm worried if I do it will jinx it. Which I know is just..probably silly but...anyway.

Hoping your sekrit boyfriend turns out to be a not-sekrit boyfriend, askye.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Mmm, delicious denial...

Mmm, delicious Xanax. (And Zoloft.) I chose an excellent time to go on antidepressants, I've gotta say.

I spent most of this week on Chincoteague with my dad (who seems to be doing a bit better). Every morning I heard about the Dow nose-diving and then I spent the rest of the day looking at birds and wild ponies. In the evening I watched Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow doing their thing. As I can't do much about the fiscal meltdown, this seemed like as good a coping mechanism as any.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Yay, askye!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Askye, I hope your not-so-secret boyfriend and you have a wonderful visit, and you hit it off in person as brilliantly as you do online. You deserve the best.

“Not dead yet!”

I am going to the game! I'm excited too. Since it's a night game (which all football games should be) and a team that will actually test us.

WOOOOOOOT. (Think you could nick the flaming spear so's we could beat Shrubwit with it?) And yes, football games, especially in September and October should be at night. I will confess, however, to a weakness for perfect football weather in the form of sunny blue skies and temps in the sixties. Ah... bliss.

anyway he's coming down so we can meet in person.

Oooooh, I hope he's wonderfulness personified.
