I am going to the game! I'm excited too. Since it's a night game (which all football games should be) and a team that will actually test us.

WOOOOOOOT. (Think you could nick the flaming spear so's we could beat Shrubwit with it?) And yes, football games, especially in September and October should be at night. I will confess, however, to a weakness for perfect football weather in the form of sunny blue skies and temps in the sixties. Ah... bliss.

I went to Target yesterday and escaped for under $30! Considering all the Halloween merch was out, that's some sort of miracle. (And when I finally went to our new local H+M, I only purchased a waistcoat and some knickers, which is another sort of miracle.)

Clearly, there is something wrong with both of you. I can't remember the last time I escaped out of Target for under $100 Clearly, that place is some sort of vortex of spendiness.

Yeah, Target and CostCo both. It's a wonder and a miracle if I leave either with less than $100 in spending.

We seem to get along well, we talk all the time either on voice chat via SL or Yahoo or Skype (depending) and introduced him to Firefly via tv.com, so we've had Firefly watching dates (so far just the first two). If things go well it will be long distance for a variety of reasons, there's a big difference between us mileage wise (he's in Vermont) and, well,anyway we're going to probably go at a snails pace but that's fine.

If someone had described him to me and said "this is the guy you'd be crazy about" I think I would have laughed. There are some differences -- some are not important (he's 9 years older than me and 4 inches shorter) and some might be (he's an Indpenedent leaning Republican) but he treats me with respect and love and I really like him and we can be really silly together.

Costco, to me, is exactly the place you should be spending $100+ per trip, because you're buying things in bulk. (When I was a kid, shopping with my mom at Costco for our family of 6, getting out the door for under $300 would have been a miracle.)

Target has no such excuse. You go in there for a pair of socks and come out with a 24-piece kitchenware set, a new purse, and 45 minutes of lost time.

I managed to leave Target after only spending $5 the other day, but it wasn't easy.

The store that really gets me, though, is Lowes hardware. I went in for a $8 brush once, and ended up spending well over $100. God help me if I ever have a house of my own to work on. (On the upside, they'll already know me at the local store.)

We went into Target last night looking for a toilet brush and a mixing bowl. It cost us $130 and over an hour. (Stepstool, pillow, bathroom accessories, two bath rugs...)
