Akshit: Now he called me a fucker!
Heh!
Happy birthday, Nora! It sounds thoroughly indulgent and well planned. Have cake! Avoid financial catastrophe!
I'm back from the morning commute.
Last year, Emmett's classes started at 8:55. This year they start at 8:00. Fortunately, Matilda's daycare takes kids as early as 7am, so we roust everybody up and we're out of the house by 7am (no easy task with two sleepy kids). Drop Matilda off first, then head across to the East Bay to get Emmett to school. Then drive back and try to find parking on street sweeping day.
Emmett's grumbling a lot about the schedule, but he only has to get up 15 minutes earlier at my house than he does at his mom's house. Still, it's a grind. I've been up and running for 2 1/2 hours by the time it's 9am.
On the plus side, once I get some temp work again it'll be easier to make it downtown on time.
Happy Birthday to Nora!
waves hi to honeymooners
Much ~ma for your cousin, Hil.
Mom and I were talking about the gifts after and she said it was because people don't think I'm ''like that'' whatever that means.
Ha! Well, I think you're sexy.
Ugh, David. I sincerely feel your pain. I am out the door at 6:55 with Brendon, then off with Bobby at 8:30. To work, then pick up one at 4:30 and the other when he calls which is anywhere from 3:00 - 8:00 depending on sports. I'm running constantly.
Happiest of happy days, Nora!!! It sounds like a lovely day you have planned.

Yeah, too sexy to need to need the artificial construct of the lingerie. ;)
Speaking of the sexay, how are you doing, Vortex. You have been on my mind a lot lately.
Happy Birthday, Nora!
Before I switched my schedule last week, I was out the door with both kids by 7:00, dropping off Ellie at 7:30, taking Frisco with me running, dropping him off around 8:45, picking him back up at 1:30, taking him home while he napped, then heading back to the daycare to pick up Ellie at 4:00. I felt like I was living in my car.
Hey, I have some news. It looks like we will be moving to DC sometime next summer. It's not written in stone yet (as in, no orders) but the guy who makes the orders said we can go to DC for one job or another. So, at some point, I'd love input on good places to live/buy in the greater DC area.
Right now, I'm dearly looking forward to having a child who wants to sleep in. Any day I get to wake up later than 6am is a win.

What are your parameters? I know that you have two kids, so would you be looking for a 3 bedroom place? Also, where exactly is Joe's job? There's a slight difference according to the location, as in it doesn't look like it's that far, but the traffic is a nightmare. Would you be opposed to living in the suburbs or do you want to live in DC proper? Do you want to take a job for you into consideration? What about schools?
LOTS of questions for you to think about. :)
Am back in the office this morning and I swear my brain is off in 10 different directions, some work related and some not. I normally don't have a problem with multi-tasking, but this is getting rediculous.
