Hi from my honeymoon in the FL Keys! We are having a great time. Ate seafood on the water twice today. Spent most of the day in the pool, which is right next to the ocean. Best of both worlds. Tomorrow we are going on a boat tour of the Everglades. Whee!!!!

Kristin, Seamus and momo are so much alike! Does he have any white on him? The mo has 2 small white patches on her belly. So cute!

Also, amusing anecdote from school today (well, I think it's funny):

UnfortunatelyNamed(9yearold)Child: He just called me BlackShit*!

Teacher: Who did?

UnfortunatelyNamedChild: Him! (points at Atman, a feisty five year old boy with long braid hanging down his back, a very pretty wee face and a snotty nose - who, incidentally, really has no room to mock other kids' names, with a brother called Arpit, but that's beside the point)

Teacher: Atman, Akshit says you were rude about his name! We don't do that here.

Akshit (who, it must be said, IS a bit of a little shit at times) nods emphatically.

Atman looks thoughtful.

Atman: Okay. Sorry.

five minutes pass by.

Akshit: Teacher! Teacher!

Teacher: Yes?

Akshit: Now he called me a fucker!

( *in another context I might have read this as racist, but given that both kids are the same ethnicity, I just read it as fairly impressive - albeit highly inappropriate and offensive - wordplay and an incisive assessment of Akshit's character.)

Mom and I were talking about the gifts after and she said it was because people don't think I'm ''like that'' whatever that means.

This is my take--that was entirely NOT the place. That was a really classy shower. It would have never occurred to me to give you lingerie in that setting--more because of who I knew would be there rather than you.
