Hey, what should I wear?
I don't know. Mom and I are both wearing sundresses. So, something like that or slacks and a pretty top. Whatever makes you happy.
I now have bright red nails, and after washing my hair a few times the color is not a not red as I thought it was, but it still isn't quite red enough. I haven't had time to go back to the hairdressers.
I'm at Mom's. My car wouldn't start. So, TCG had to drive me down. He ended up having supper with us, which was nice. I'm still so very nervous.
UTIs are so awful.
You know, I've gotta say that I've always had it pretty lucky. I can tell that I have a UTI before the burning starts, so I've never really experienced the extra horridness of a UTI. Until today. I'm so proud. Or something.

Mom has one. She is super organized.
Just got in to San Diego a little bit ago. Should be having dinner with family in a bit then probably see mom later. Not sure if she's still at the hospital or has been moved to the nursing home.

Hope all is well sparky. Your parents rock. Iris is now aware that one can have two or more desserts at a sitting. And cousin M now has her own sidekick, fan club, and mini me in one four year old body.
I am zonked. We drove straight through past DC because we were making great time and iris fell asleep quickly after getting over the fact that DH wasn't coming due to a surprise conference. Stopped in Triangle for a break and then chattered the rest of the way to Richmond. I told her that both of us had gone to college at Virginia, mentioned Thomas Jefferson and said that he'd founded the school where we went. Her first question was: "and then he died?" so we talked a little more about history and lifespan. At dinner she announced "mommy's college teacher was president! And he died!"
And then she discovered the dessert bar.

I took an absolutely glorious nap this afternoon with Ellie and Frisco but now I am awake and unable to sleep.
Thanks Laga! You have to come and visit her. Oh and get those clothes if Meg wants them. I'm not sure when I can get down there with them, but we'll work that out if you can't come up.
I definitely want to visit but this week and next I'm going down to OC so I'm not sure when I'll be able to make it up. Last time there were very few things that fit Meg so if you want to go ahead and donate them I'm sure she won't mind.
