Admittedly, the dress was a splurge, but the shoes were on sale. Plus, I just canceled out of going to a conference in October because I really don't feel like it, so I'm actually saving money.
I do have a screaming claret red duchesse satin Joan dress that I paid something ridiculous like twenty-five bucks for that I'm saving for Lewis to take me out to dinner or something.

She's not out of the woods, by a long shot. She's still encephalopathic, and having occasional bouts of hallucinations, and she's in some discomfort because of some of the tubes they have poking her in uncomfortable places, but she is OFF the VENTILATOR.
