Shit's all sorts of different now.
She was quieted with a stern look and the promise of many stripey tights when we go school shopping this weekend.
Although thinking about it, this may have been her dad's influence as well, as he has a certain proclivity for stripey tights as well.

To add to the joys of 2008, apparently I have a Very Christian parent who is reading Catcher in the Rye for the first time and is very upset that it was assigned as summer reading. She apparently was worried that last year's reading in 8th grade was "too heavy." Our reading list this year for 9th? Catcher, excerpts from the Bible, Lord of the Flies, Medea, The Odyssey, The Penelopiad, poetry, and Macbeth.
