Angel: Just admit it: you think you're gonna ride in, save the day, and sweep Buffy off her--Spike: Like you're not thinking the same thing. Angel: I'm already seeing somebody. Spike: What, dog girl?

'The Girl in Question'

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

not your mom's socks.

Jars, is this the guy who had to get a driver, and then his driver had to get a driver?

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

What a charming boss you have there, Jars. You should buy him flowers.

That is a very striking billboard. I love the light on your hair, Steph.

Happy Birthday Trudy!

Kara is indeed 7 today. She's wearing a beautiful dress today and took cupcakes to school. This evening will be a picnic in the park with extended family. She's got a pinata. It's a burro and she loves it. It's so cute! But she's fully prepared to bash its head in to get the candy inside.

My sister apologized for sending her a sparkly pink card. There weren't any gothy kid cards. I'm finding it funny that any member of my family isn't horrified by Kara's interests. Well, she's a little horrified, but willing to go along, which is nice.

I have a question. Why do we pledge allegiance to the flag? Why don't we just directly pledge allegiance to the republic? I always feel funny about that, because I don't feel much allegiance to that particular design. Anyone?

Also, our dress theme tomorrow is hunting camo.

And I'm still open to suggestions as to my theme song.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Looks like I ain't sleeping tonight. The anesthesia seems to have worn off and the pain meds aren't quite enough. Mom is having a rough night and is trying to be a brave little toaster about it.

I hope she is doing better, and that you got some sleep, Suzi.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Emily, flags have been very important in organized societies for a very long time. They started out as military symbols and for communication purposes from Rome and to Medieval times. This was how you figured out where you stood and to determine friend from foe. It's sort of a convenient thing to have a concrete object to focus on when pledging.

post toasties:

Happy Birthday to Trudy and Kara. Mmm...Kara born on the same day as Trudy...'splains an awful lot.

Really? I mean, I don't mind facing it, as a symbol. I just don't feel that I have any allegiance to it. Do you? Is it just me?
