Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

KITTEH HATEZ LAPTOP
I can see the Genius Bar visit now:

What seems to be the problem?

Not sure, some how the screen is looking really funky.

Lets see. (opens laptop) Curious, your hinge feels a little askew too. Did you drop it open or something?

Nope, didn't drop it. Not sure what caused that.

I see what you mean by the unusual screen (feels with finger) Curious, feels like it has been scratched.

Hmm. I wonder if that's the "Tiger" itching to get out (nervous chuckle)

Uh. Ya. Anyhow. Well. Not sure what to say. Oh hey, it looks like your battery is almost drained, do you have your power adapter, lets give it some juice while we are talking.

Oh ya, here ya go.

(looking at magplug) Curious. What happened here?

Not sure.

By chance sir, do you have a cat?

Well, I did. He recently passed away.

Electrocution?

How'd you guess?

I'm sorry for your loss sir. I'm afraid these damages aren't covered by the warranty.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

~ma and hugs all around. I'm sorry that this has been such a difficult year for so many people. You are all in my thoughts.

Apparently telling TCG's stepmom that I am back on antidepressants and really not feeling well at all was not enough of a hint to get her to stop asking me when we're going to book the wedding. Sigh. I'm starting to get really panicky about the shower on Sunday.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

{{{sj}}} You're the guest of honor - let other people panic about your shower. You should just sit back, relax, and enjoy.

ETA: Also, I'm sorry if my mini-rant on showers in Natter has added any stress. I am a grump who is not generally a party person, so please take my opinions with a grain of salt. Plus I am positive that your shower will be fabulous as you will be there!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Just prepare a stock answer for that question and use it any time someone asks. "When we know, you'll know" Or "We don't want to spoil the surprise" or whatever. Poeple are always curious about weddings. Also, many folks will ask as part of trying to make polite small talk and don't really care about the answer.

No, not at all. I was just sharing my opinion and experience. I hope I didn't come off as snippy. I'm just not feeling very well. I have days when I can feel that the ADs are working, and I feel so much better. Then I have days when I'm still very very depressed. Plus I have a uti, and my sleep schedule is so very fucked up. I sleep a little bit one night, and then way too much the next.

{{{sj}}} No, you did not at all come off as snippy. I think I came off as grumpy-pants. I hope your meds kick in quickly so that you feel better. I am weaning off of mine and am wondering if that is why I'm grumpy lately...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Sean, Drew, this is crazy. I hope you both start spending much less time in hospitals as soon as possible. And Sean, lots of good advice here--I hope it works.

I went to a cemetery showing of Rosemary's Baby. It was very effective. That was when my movie buddy and I fully realised we were underusing the cool of LA.

Because books.

I went to a cemetery showing of Rosemary's Baby.

Oh, I am DESPERATELY jealous. How fucking cool.

I was extremely grumpy pants about the plethora of baby showers, wedding showers, and weddings I have been invited to over the years. I figure it's my turn. I never thought I would get my turn, so it's kind of weird.

“Not dead yet!”

Mooshu update: his bloodwork's completely clear, thank the doggy heavens. Doc seems to think that even though it's an atypical response, that in all likelihood, the antibiotics for the skin issues are killing his appetite and/or making him nauseous, so she suggested going to pick up some Zantac 75 and giving it to him twice a day and seeing if that works. If not, then we'll look at discontinuing one or both of the antibiotics. I may have to start thinking of some holistic types of treatments for his skin. Poor noodle.

Oh, and Bev, I suggested the tooth/throat thing-- Dr. Maria said they'd palpitated and checked everything out and nothing appeared to be blocking his throat and I've had my hands all over his teeth and in his mouth and he hasn't exhibited any distress, so that's probably ruled out.
