I'm so sorry, but if it makes you feel any better, my fun-time-Buffy party night involved watching a robot throw Spike through a window, so if you want to trade... no wait, I wouldn't give up that memory for anything.

Buffy ,'Get It Done'

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Librarian Warlord

{{Sean}} Much ~ma to you, and S and her Mom. A kick in the pants to your landlord.

Much of the neighborhood was without power last night and into this morning because of a couple of trees that came down during the storm yesterday a few streets away. We had power, but our cable (and thus our phone and internet) were out until a couple of hours ago.

Fortunately, the storm has passed and none of the trouble seems to be affecting this afternoon's plans, the Pooch Pool Party that the county runs.

I've had a four day weekend, thanks to working over Labor Day, and on Friday we took Sassafras on a 5 mile hike in one of the VA parks, and then we stopped at a winery nearby because they have a stream she could swim in. A few pictures of her day, and the puppy flopped on the living room floor afterward: [link]

eta: Much ~ma for your pup, Barb!

(((Sean))) All sorts of conversation-ma.

Art Crawl!!!

{{{Sean}}} lots of ~ma for all the crap you're going through.

Barb- have you tried making a stew - maybe something with low sodium broth and chicken? (For Mooshu, I mean.)

All is well that ends in pizza.

Has anyone here played with Wordle?

It's a website that has a program that will take any writing and display it as a word jumble, with the frequency of any one word making a larger size in the jumble.

You can alter the display and colors of the jumble, so there is some manipulating that can be done.

One of the amusing ones I came across was this one: [link]

The text of McCain's speech at the RNC entered in by one user.

The words "president barack obama" stand out in the center. heh.

Joe Biden's speach features Barack, obama and change in one clump: [link]

If course other variations don't show the same jumping, so I wonder at what parts of the speeches each person input to the program.

“Not dead yet!”

Barb- have you tried making a stew - maybe something with low sodium broth and chicken? (For Mooshu, I mean.)

I went to Petsmart and picked up the Bene-Bac and gave him one dose. I've also picked up some real-people food-like canned food and the dog version of Ensure, and then some low-sodium chicken soup at the grocery store. I figure I'll make some plain rice later and combine it with some soup and see if any of it takes.

Has anyone here played with Wordle?

Oooh, I have. I've done it with my manuscripts. It's fun.

Just input the entirety of all five Hitchhiker's guide books into separate Wordle attempts:

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

{{{{Sean}}}} Much ~ma for the outcome of this conversation.

I've owned cats and dogs my entire life and only one cat had substantial health problems and none of my dogs has ever had anything, so I'm woefully clueless about some of this stuff.

Barb, it sounds like you have a good plan for the food. I never thought of it before, but you are right - this is stuff you don't think about, and don't learn until you have to. Another temporary people food option would be plain ground beef, drained and rinsed of fat, mixed in a 1:1 ratio of cooked rice - this is a suggestion I have gotten from the vet. one time for one of the cats, that would surely do well for dogs. And some people swear by cannned pumpkin for tempting four-leggeds to eat when their appetite is gone. If Moosho were a cat, the next suggestion I would make would involve hairball remedy.
