Right. Piano. Because that's what we used to kill that big demon that one time. No, wait. That was a rocket launcher.

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired

We have a Popeye's, KFC, and Roscoe's all within 2 blocks of us.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

because I am heavy for my height that I would only need to gain 10-15 lbs when pregnant. Is he on crack? I've never heard of gaining so little weight when pregnant.

If you're overweight when you get pregnant, you can even safely lose weight during pregnancy, and I think in some cases it's recommended.

I was nearly 50 lbs overweight when I got pregnant. lost 23 lbs in my first pregnancy, gained 8 back and lost 17 lbs in my second. My deliveries were 9 days less than one year apart. I never bought maternity clothes, I stayed the same measurement around, my arms, legs, neck, face and hands all got thinner. My feet got bigger, and my ass stayed about the same.

Of course I had morning sickness all through both pregnancies, so being able to eat was wonderful. It didn't mean automatic weight gain, though, because I was breastfeeding.

...of course when I stopped, I gained about 40 lbs in six months.

My body is apparently supposed to be well-padded. Certainly not as abundantly padded as it is now, but nice and cushiony.

Erin, I'm sorry things worked out the way they did, but I'm certainly glad you had the sense and courage to cut your losses and get yourself out of there. Best luck on finding a surviveable job quickly.

Oh, Scrappy, I hope it's not as serious as you're thinking.

Casper-kitty is adorable. Also cute and fluffy!

Our family's doctors have speculated on the relationship between sugar-aggravated ADHD, ADD, and alcohol dependence. The brain chemistry is apparently similar between all three disorders, so the links may actually exist. I know when my seven-year-old mugs a kid for a candy bar--not out of aggression but because of the sugar-craving, and when my 18 year old turns into a raving psychotic after what is actually a modest amount of alcohol, and when I wake up at 3AM in front of the open fridge drinking Hershey's syrup out of a can? I think maybe sugar is not the harmless happy treat it's marketed as.

Askye, that is one cutiepie nephew, and one very proud auntie!

Dude, bonny, that "cake" has *no flour*! Something I could even eat! Copying and saving to try really soon.

Aww, I miss DH's biscuits--his are even better than my mom's.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

I now want chicken & waffles from Rosco's.

We ate at Roscoe's last week, after moving a bunch of stuff out of Drew's garage.

I was thinking of Jilli and Pete the whole time. I do every time I go to Roscoe's now.

I adore all you motherfuckers so much -- PMM.

My body is apparently supposed to be well-padded. Certainly not as abundantly padded as it is now, but nice and cushiony.

I can think of nothing to say to this that would not be accompanied by old Big Bad Wolf cartoon sound effects, but I'll just say this: Beverly, my dear, you are definitely one of the most gorgeous women I have ever encountered, in all sorts of ways. Hooray for cushiony.

Just thought I'd remind you.

Karl, you do show up at the *most* opportune moments. Thank you!

And how in the world are you?

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Dude, bonny, that "cake" has *no flour*! Something I could even eat! Copying and saving to try really soon.

If you're interested in quick no-flour fixes, my quick peanutbutter griddle cakes are flour-free and work out pretty much like cookies:

Mix together: tablespoon of sugarfree peanutbutter, one egg, a little sugar (or splenda - I use around 3 sachets); vanilla essence. Add in a generous sprinkle of sunflower seeds/flax seeds/chopped nuts/other crunchy fibre-rich yumminess of your choice, if you like. And/or a spoon of sugar-free cocoa powder.

Beat like crazy, then scoop onto a hot griddle and turn once or twice.

You get two 'cookies' per egg.

I eat them for breakfast. Sometimes with 5 minute cheats' cheesecake. (half a stick of Philadelphia warmed in the microwave with a little sweetener and a drop of lemon or vanilla essence and maybe a little cream, sprinkled with blueberries and almond slivers. Mmmmmm....

Meanwhile, I forget who posted this:

I fed and shot the cat

but there was a serious coffee on keyboard issue. I was relieved to recall that "shot" is USAian for "injected".

....at least, I'm assuming that's the case. Unless the cat was REALLY naughty.

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

Hardees, no. Popeyes yes.

Yep. I ate plenty of meals at that Popeye's while in Grad school. Wendy's and the Loop, too.

I think you have to go to Crawfordville to get Hardees. Or way out Monroe.

I know there is one on Monroe.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

I am home now. I stayed far too long at the party. It was nice to be social. I managed to not flirt well with any of the women I find attractive, and have nice conversations with women I have no attraction to. Life is not fair.

So, it being 4:30, my body is teaching me the difference between exhaustion and tired. My body is exhausted, but my brain is not tired. Ah. Insomnia. Stargate Atlantis it is.

All y'all's talk of Roscoes and stuff has me hungry. But, not heading out in the rain for greasy food.

“Not dead yet!”

Yep. I ate plenty of meals at that Popeye's while in Grad school. Wendy's and the Loop, too.

We have a Loop right up the street from us. Also, a Crispers, which is surprisingly good for what it is. They have a SW grilled chicken salad with corn and black beans and tortilla strips that is seriously NOM. Esp. with the jalapeño ranch dressing.

I really shouldn't be lusting after salad at 6:54 in the morning.
