Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Right. I mean, library fines don't paralyze me, but other situations do, and the longer it goes, the harder it is to do anything about it, and the worse it gets.

Don't try to apply regular, sane person logic to it. It doesn't work. Chances are, the person being oh-so-avoidant KNOWS in the non-broken part of the brain that they are being crazy about it, but the broken part's louder.

Plei said what I wanted to say better than I could have. Except, for me, I could totally see returning library books becoming one of those things. I don't have a library card anymore.

I should disclose that it's NOT an issue for me right now because the SPL dude looked at me funny when I tried to pay my small fine. But it has been in the past.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Woah. That sushi may not be what you think: [link]

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I feel bad and dread dealing with it and so I put it off, and then it gets worse and so I put it off.

I'm with askye and Plei and the rest in the "Maybe if I don't deal with it, it will go away" camp. You can get into the avoidance cycle with just about anything.

What I loved about the sushi story was that two teenagers took it on themselves to do it. I also loved what the father said about how they got their samples: "It involved shopping and eating, in which they were already fluent."

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Maybe if I don't deal with it, it will go away

I am guilty of this with money. In fact, I'm doing it right now.

I got 10 out of 12. I missed Portia and Ariel. And I'm kicking myself for both. Should have aced it.

75% on the hairstyles, 100% on the Shakes. I am practiced at the fine art of work avoidance.
