I return stuff late about half the time. My late fees paid for the new library. They still love me and wouldn't arrest me.
Yeah, they know me at my library. Also, both the public library and the school library send e-mails about overdue books. That's usually just the little punch I need to get them back.
My favorite is being able to reserve a book on line and then get an e-mail saying it's ready for pick up.
YES! Totally! I can get a book from any of the libraries in Boston without having to actually travel to the library of origin. It just magically appears here in Roslindale. It's fabulous! Oh! and I've taken to checking out crafty books before I buy them to see if they're worth it. It's saved me probably a lot of money!
Oh. And I almost forgot to post what I actually came in about. I did squeak out an 80 in my Spanish class! Actually, it's an 80.13. I GOT A "B"!!!!! I cannot believe I pulled that shit off. Though, it totally explains today's migraine. The brain did finally explode!

I actually kind of don't care about the migraine. It held off until today, so I'm ok with it. The old Val would have been so stressed the last couple of days that she'd had a migraine THOSE days and not been able to finish the class. So, yay progress! I'd still like to get my body to not have such physical responses to stress, but well, I'll take the improvement.

I stopped using the public library because they (a) didn't check the books back in when I returned them and (b) didn't shelve them where they belonged. This led to them insisting I had books out that had been returned (on time); I racked up some significant late fees for books that I'd returned. I took to taking out the little date cards in the back and saying I wasn't sure when they were due so they'd HAVE to check, but they caught on to that little trick and didn't let me pull it any more. grrrr.
How does a persion work on a computer and not know what version of Windows they have! It's been Idiots on Parade all day!
It's not like it's exactly obvious (like on a Mac)! I'm looking at my computer right now (although I could look away and keep typing!) and I have no idea. And I'm not the smartest person in the world but I'm not an idiot.

Very hard. I've always had trouble remembering, and now the three closest branches are being renovated.
