Seriously? I can change it due to marriage??? DOOD!
Yes, generally marriage is a "qualifying event".

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

happy birthday Fay
Gah, crap, forgot to post it earlier:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, FAY!
Oh yes, happy birthday to Fay and congratulations to GC!
So marriage is a reason to change, but it says to "add your spouse." What if my spouse is already my dependent (my co. covers domestic partners)? I wonder if that'll fly...
Good point, Burrell. They may not cover it either way.
Talk to HR and ask. They'll tell ya what is and isn't covered and if you need to change L's status to Wife.

You do know your ringtone on my phone is Shakira, yes?
Hee. I think I'd forgotten.
Sean, I'm so glad you've find a place, and that you can move soon.
WindSparrow, aw... I didn't realize your father wasn't alive. Even better, then.
A la primera persona - Gorgeous song. Spanish is so tantalizing to me... I can understand a lot of the cognates, and then it turns into garble.
Para que tu no llores - I'd already listened to this one when you first mentioned it. He's lost weight since the video w/ Shakira, y?
While we're sharing songs in languages other than English, here's one of my fave French pop songs of all time. Corrida by Francis Cabrel It's about a bullfight from the point of view of the bull - heartbreaking. "I never thought you could have so much fun around a tomb." The actual song starts at about 3:15.
He also has one called Un samedi soir sur la terre (A Saturday night on Earth), about your average boy-girl hookup. "It's not worth specifying where they're from, or what they say/It's a children's story, ordinary/It's just a Saturday night on Earth."
I need to see if iTunes has those.
~ma, Calli! Call us if you need anything. Are you going down there tonight?
~ma to your dad, Calli.
Thanks, y'all. Right now I'm waiting to find out what's going on. The emergency room nurse said they had a ton of tests to run before they'd have any idea what's going on. Around 6:30 or so I'll know if I'll be rushing over there tonight or going tomorrow.
