Sunnydale's got too many demons and not enough retail outlets.

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

so we left a nice voice message from the Holt Family Chorus on her machine.

Sort of like the Von Trapps but hugely tall?

“Not dead yet!”

The 25th, Laura. My poor husband is in a panic because he doesn't know what to get me. I told him to relax.

And Happy Birthday, Mom! How awesome. :-)

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

I like the birthday phone messages.

I hope Fay brings lots of water where it's needed and no damage.

I had a brainstorm and called my rheumatologist's office. His receptionist was horrified by my PCP's receptionist and said she'd ask him to call it in for me. They are so nice there.

Oh, YAY Deena! I love them! You need to get a PCP over there too. Life will be better, I have a funny feeling.

I'm going to start calling again now. I just hate the doctor hunt, and they require a visit with the doctor to see if you fit before they'll see you for medical reasons.

Yeah, I get that. I TOTALLY do. I just hate seeing you keep getting frustrated with current PCP.

Message to self:

Self, it is only helpful to do work for this class if you actually remember to UPLOAD IT to the classroom!

No love, Self.

I've been feverishly checking the grades to see if a couple things were posted. Well, turns out one thing was never uploaded and for the other missing grade I uploaded the wrong file. GRRRRR! I mean, I get that I'm going a little crazy just trying to get this stuff done, but I need to be a little more mindful, otherwise killing myself to get it done will completely not be worth it.

And in funny Spanish news, I've started singing along with some of the more popular songs on the Latino Pop station. This cracks me up to no end.

Aw jeez. vw-- I'm trying to sink into the mid-sixties mindset, so I'm currently bopping along to "It's Not Unusual" but now I want to go cue up one of my Latin pop playlists. My brain isa gonna 'splode...

move out and draw fire

Hi everybody. I am playing hooky for a day, since I have a work dinner, and since today is the only day that workers won't be pounding on my house.

Coxsackie may be named for a town, but I'm still 12...I'm wondering what people who live there are called. Coxsackers?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I just made my first appointment in around 3 years with my doctor. Oops. But my job is sending me to Senegal in December (!!!!!), so I need to get various jabs. I suspect a non-Senegal-related pap smear will find its way into my visit, along with a discussion of mammograms (darned 40th birthday). Plus the family history update (cancer, death, cancer, etc.).

I'll be able to tell her I'm running these days. That part might not suck.
