Ah, yes, of course. The gypsies, they gave you your soul. The gypsies are filthy people. Ptui! We shall speak of them no more.

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I just made my first appointment in around 3 years with my doctor. Oops. But my job is sending me to Senegal in December (!!!!!), so I need to get various jabs. I suspect a non-Senegal-related pap smear will find its way into my visit, along with a discussion of mammograms (darned 40th birthday). Plus the family history update (cancer, death, cancer, etc.).

I'll be able to tell her I'm running these days. That part might not suck.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Senegal? Wow.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

I keep downloading free Latin pop from iTunes. I love it. My husband is confused.

Calli, that sounds amazing.

Our wings are not tired

Hey there folks. Saw mom yesterday. The docs are hopeful that they can save the foot. Mom has a long recovery ahead of her. She's currently in a massive amount of pain and on painkillers that make morphine look like a child's toy. She's pretty down right now, so hopefully the pain will start to slack of a little bit soon.

I drove back up to LA last night so that I can work all day today and hopefully keep on top of contracts, then I'm driving back to San Diego late tonight so that I can see her again tomorrow.

All of this is made even more complicated by the fact that we're still switching all the bank accounts and investments over after Dad's death and Mom is the one who has to sign everything. Now she's in the hospital and on drugs that have an impact on clear thinking so a difficult task of having things transferred is now made near impossible. We need to get things switched though, because at the moment most of the estate is tied up in Roth IRA's which are now frozen until they get transferred.

Ugh.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I walked to work today in less than an hour but maybe converse were not the best choice of shoes as I now have blisters. I bought some glue to fix my hiking shoes and sent D an email to see if he wants to come see a movie tonight and/or give me a ride home.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Deena, I hope you can get a new doctor. I owe you an email. I'm working on the thing right now.

So the kids and I are outside in the backyard. I notice Owen in the trees that line our property. He has taken his pants off so I ask him what he's doing.

"I'm pooping in the rainforest!"

Laura I saw a clip of the kite surfer on CNN. That guy deserves a Darwin Award. I hope you guys stay safe and dry.
