'The Killer In Me'

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I hope your brother gets news soon ,Typoboy

and while I wish you didn't have to put up with DD, GGh -- I guess you have a reason to be there.

Stay safe Floridians!

I want the house vacuumed. I would just prefer it done by the housekeeping fairy. That doesn't seem to exist. It is possible that the dust I raised when I clapped my hands saying "I believe in fairies" may have killed her.

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

The benefit to being a Florida native is the "let's play the guessing game" with hurricanes. Looking at the 3 and 5 day cones and knowing how disorganized the system is, it could very well make landfall then bounce off the coast and head back into the Gulf to take a whack at Texas.

Or it could just keep going on that vague northward track, which means we get lots rain and wind. I'm not too worried, all in all-- we have non-perishables and water and full gas tanks. Plus, Jax hasn't been directly hit by a hurricane since 1961 unless you count the clipping by Frances a few years back.

Very true. The 'newbies' are all in a panic here. I just find it amusing that the storm tracks are so scattered. I also love the storm cone that just covers all of Florida but the panhandle. I don't want the day off now because I'd rather have the week off in November.

Except for the "No Name Storm" in '93, Citrus County hasn't been hit since Helena in '85. Oh yeah, I forgot about Frances in '04. That was just a really soaking storm, it could have been much worse. This county couldn't handle a direct hit. Most of the stuff west of 19 would be underwater.

Well, I just got word from the School Board. We are having school tomorrow; however, all schools will be dismissed 2 hours early. Hmmm, I'm supposed to go to a meeting about National Board Certification tomorrow, wonder what will happen to that?

I'm glad she felt she could safely turn to you.

Me too. She is such a great kid. Hub has known the family for at least 25 years. He held this girl as a baby. I talked to him and he said her fears are grounded. I just want to protect her.

Thrive to spite them

Yeah I'm not to worried about getting hit, I'm trying to remember what the forecast says, mostly we won't get hit.

There's a conference this weekend in Orlando that hasn't been cancelled, since things should be fine by then, we assume.

Dad's trying to figure out the weather before he comes back.

CBD must really love me.

He has just agreed to go to my nephew's big 1st birthday party in Kansas. I even told him about the scary people that will probably be there!

Yeah, I wouldn't go to Kansas for a one year old nephew's birthday party. Must be love.

I mean, I wouldn't even go to my own nephew's one year birthday party if it weren't drivable. And you couldn't get me to Kansas on a bet. Kansas City, Mo - sure. I could see Gud or Erin and have a pork loin sandwich. But Kansas (state of) - no.

Yep, Kansas would be a stretch for me as well. I'd do just about anything for friends or family, though.

It is Lawrence, which is pretty hip and cool.

I just booked the hotel. I really kind of can't believe he's agreed to this.
