Spike: We got a history, him and me. Fred: What? Spike: It was a long time ago. He was a young Watcher, fresh out of the academy when we crossed paths. It was a, what-you-call battle of wills and blood was spilled. Vendettas were sworn. It was a whole-- Fred: My God you're so full of crap. Spike: Yeah. Okay.

'Unleashed'

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

“Not dead yet!”

Okay, seriously? I want to pound the snot out of somebody over this: [link]

Oy.

It's so unbelievably sad that I'm beginning to accept the utter shoddiness that passes for journalism these days with little more than a shrug and wondering what the hell ever happened to basic knowledge of spelling, grammar, you know... that useless shit.

I was reading an AP article this morning on Michael Phelps that referred to him "wracking up the medals."

No shit.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Oh good lord.

(((Drew))) All my wishes for the best outcome go to your mom, and strength and courage to you and Kristin and your family. I'm so sorry things are happening this way, it just isn't fair.

sj, I'm so relieved TCG is unhurt, and I'm sorry about the scare and the loss of the car.

Askye! Congratulations on the most wonderfulest nephew yet! I can't wait till you actually get to see and hold him and then report back to us. Your brother is beyond cute with the holding and the doting. All speedy recovery-ma to your SiL.

Congrats to CJ. It's the somewhat scattered kids that well-taught martial arts can most benefit. The philosophy can pervade the rest of their lives and provide a sense of peace, power and strength for them in so many other venues. My ADD boy was one of those. Still is, in many ways.

(((Sean))) You've received the best advice from folks who've walked in your moccasins. It's not ever going to be easy, but one day you will have moved beyond the worst of it. Strength to you until you do.

Teppy, I wish I could attend the cardboard boat races. When DH and I master/mommed the Cub Scouts, the Pinewood Derby was just such an event. SO much fun for the kids, and the adults, too. I don't think we ever outgrow wanting to watch things go fast--and crash (or sink) spectacularly. Pictures, please.

I...just can't concieve of Iris and Mal contained in the same physical space. The synergy must be awesome to behold.

I meant to include GG and Azkaban in this post. I'm appalled and angered on your behalf. Had I the wherewithal, I'd school the miscreant faculty, and turn you loose on the students to actually, you know, teach.

Yay baby Evan Thomas! One of my good friends growing up was an Evan Thomas. :)

Yay Barb date with her hubs. Lovely.

Fingers crossed Drew that your mom gets through surgery OK--sounds like six weeks with lots of nursing care would be really good for her. But ouch ouch ouch nonetheless. Eesh.

If they want me to use their lesson plans, worksheets, quizzes and such, they should just give that to me

Oh! Yeah, no kidding, I thought they were! Have you asked? Would they? They should!

Yay Omnis opening Tommy! I loved being in that when we did it in college, even if our production was pretty ragged. The finale was so kick-ass.

And strength to Sox and Raq that the Mallory-Iris convergence is not wreaking havoc on the DC area!!

Meanwhile, in "Good god, how annoying ARE these people?" news, last night the GILF's partner R was flirting with me (though he tends to be fairly quiet and laid back), and somehow said something along the lines of "well the question's never been asked" (ie I've never asked him to have sex with me). I was like "Sweetie, it's been asked and answered. YOU asked. I answered. MONTHS ago. YOU SAID "Will you have sex with me?" and I said "YES""

And he was like "What??" and tried to deny ever saying anything of the sort. And acted like I was delusional and crazy. I was like "Dude. It was like, February. We were at the Century. You kissed me." And he claims to not remember a damn thing about it.

I'm so annoyed by the whole thing--fine, whatever, you were so fucking drunk you don't even remember it? That's annoying enough. You want to PRETEND you were so drunk you don't remember it? Even more annoying. But to then act like I'm some kind of psycho who's wishfully IMAGINING that you asked me to fuck you? Yeah, GO FUCK YOURSELF. I'm not holding my breath for the last six months, for you OR Grandma, OK? Damn.

Ugh-- oh meara, what a MAROON. Jeebus.

And while the husband date itself was lovely, the being woken up a 5:15 by Jasmine who'd decided it was a grand time to want to be let outside so she could cavort in the sprinklers was not so much with the lovely.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

wtf is up with Lynn Johnston? "For Better or For Worse" seems gratuitously cruel today.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I think I read that she's ending the strip soon.

Speaking of questionable journalism: when did Lake Michigan become a sea?
